According to the score cards, yes, Hatton was getting outclassed. But if you wanted comparisons to Gatti, I felt Hatton wasn’t getting physically punished until the 7th round. The 8th and 9th, Mayweather really treated him like Gatti and the 10th…well…this picture says it all.

There was a lot of bogus shit though. Such as the ref point deducting Hatton (which was reasonable) but not deducting Mayweather when he did it later. Out here in Vegas there is a saying, most fights that go to decision are rigged. This kinda looked that way even though Mayweather didn’t need it. And by that I mean he would have won the decision without the help had he not knocked him out.

Ref was making bullshit stoppages in the early rounds. Everyone knew hatton’s only chance was early damage, but the ref made sure any momentum ricky had going was cancelled. Mayweather’s counter-punching is too good however.

I still say pressure is the way to go, what hatton did was pressure but he got too repetitive and ran out of ideas. FLoyd was waiting for that telegraphed right hand all night long.
