naw, i live in san diego.

yeah… i still get surprised myself when i see him on tv and i realize that he just had dinner with us a few months ago haha.

the last time we really got to talk was before his whole philippine politics shit (around february) of this year. so he told us some of the shit he was going to do trying to get my family’s feedback.

then my dad brought up his fights and he was telling us stories of him sparring like how strict his diet was. apparently, he couldnt have warm or cold water, only room temp which was weird to my parents.

That’s wild.Only room temperature water

He seems really cool though.

Seven more days for Mayweather - Hatton.

Watching Nonito Donaire and Vernon Forrest KO victories.

Re-visiting the Mayweather vs. de la Hoya fight:

if their is one thing I think Mayweather MUST do in his upcoming fight with Hatton… “throw more punches.” de la Hoya throwing up to twice as much punches per round almost stole the fight. I had the fight, 8-4 for Mayweather in a good performance, but Oscar made the fight look closer then it really was. Mayweather almost was robbed in that fight. Oscar fooled the casual fans in thinking he was doing something like punching while in the clinch, but I was surprised that 2 of the 3 judges ( one judge has the right score of 116-112 Mayweather) was influenced by punches “thrown” and not punches “landed”.

if Mayweather throws half the punches Hatton throws per round, it could lead to a misleading tale of the fight like with de la Hoya.

I have to agree with you on that one. He will definitely have to choose his shots less carefully but he has been able to cope with high output puncher in the past. De La Hoya was just a much larger body than anyone he has been in the ring with before. In the end Oscar only threw like 100 or so punches more and landed half as much as Floyd. That says a whole lot about defense, effective aggressiveness, etc for both.

i wonder if there’s a rematch clause in the Hatton-mayweather fight? If mayweather wins i think he’ll retire. I didnt know his body was breakin down like that

I dont see hatton winning at all…but it’ll go the distance. Mayweather’s too good for the lad

I am 99% sure there is a rematch clause.

It’s far too much for Mayweather to lose, and Ricky has much to gain

if mayweather loses. i would bet the rematch would take place in England. I wouldn’t doubt their would be a re-match clause in the contract.

trying to remain objective here, for Ricky Hatton to have a chance of winning this fight:

Having watched Hatton’s last three fights, he did not look good in 2 out of the 3 fights; Collazo, Urango. Hatton looked very good against Castillo although boxing fans noticed Castillo was shot from his last fight (Herman Ngoudjo) as well as looking shot from the opening bell against Hatton. Ricky Hatton loses to Myaweather in virtually every area in boxing, but has four things going for him: being undefeated, power, desire (heart), underdog role.

Hatton’s undefeated record, Power and Desire (Heart) gives him the edge in the “intangible” department. You can say that a fighter that has an edge in “power” and “heart”, though lacking talent, is what keeps people talking about the fight and not writing it off as a mis-match. That was why Mayweather vs. Gatti & Balodmir was interesting at that time. And everyone loves an underdog.

one thing Hatton NEEDS to bring to the table is Speed. Hatton’s speed should not be underestimated by Mayweather, but Hatton will need an increased speed to catch him. Their was talks in Hatton’s camp about Hatton not maxing out the Welter limit of 147 and coming in at 140-143. Hatton might not be fast enough still, but it helps with an increased speed and maybe stamina coming from Hatton. If Hatton can bring continuous speed and stamina for 12 rounds, more doors would open up. Just watch out for the counters like Biolink and Yansoma mentioned post above.

though Hatton is underdog in every aspect, he is undefeated and doesn’t know how to lose.

Mayweather - Hatton 24/7:

^ooh good shit

it wasn’t on on demand

I’ve been rewatching some of Hatton’s fights and now I am pretty sure Hatton is going to get punished throughout the entire fight.

De la hoya vs Mayweather all over again.

I’m very confident after I seen that 5-second clip of Floyd defending a left hook to the body with a very fast and compact double right uppercut combination. Hopefully the referee doesn’t ruin the balance of the fight.

Remember Urango punished Hatton to the body mid fight? I think If the fight is cramped, we may see some good body work by PBF

Oh man I remember that one body shot that sounded like it sucked the air out of Hatton’s entire body. Floyd usually always throws a body shot or two in combinations or utilizes a jab to the body.

I tried this out when I got my punch mitts from the mail yesterday. that is a good re-action; catch with the elbow and shoot a counter between the gloves. That counter is a natural feel like a uppercut then hook.

Hatton is gonna be in trouble if he starts to fall into his punches

Man, you always know exactly what I’m talking about.

lol

Anyone willing to be some SRK money on the fight?

I got $5,000 on Mayweather.Any takers for Hatton?

i was listening to a local sports radio talk show and they were broadcasting from Las Vegas. They reported that for this weekend, more then 20,000 British fans made the trip to Vegas. Too bad Hatton can’t take all 20,000 in the arena come fight night. Thats an expensive trip to see their man get his ass beat

It good to see he has so much support, but totally agree I think he has no shot at winning.

wow…from watching 24/7 i guess he’s gonna be taking these guys to the clubs for drinks.

why must every vid try to portait the underdog as rocky…like their the ultimate underdog. i like 24/7 stuff but they got the same way they do it every time.

Wow watching 24/7 when Mayweather ran the red light had me rollin for some reason o.0
