If this fight goes through I don’t know how anyone can still call Floyd a coward.
This fight is different than any other in that they will be fighting on such a big stage. I can’t comprehend doing something like that, it would physically make me sick. Whatever happens people from all over will know the result of the fight and they will remember it.
When will Taylor’s fight take place? I’m guessing the others will take place relatively soon well within some months but when you get brutally KOed like that don’t boxing commission require you take a longer lay off period?
Hopefully Taylor beats Kessler and Ward beats Abraham. I’d like to see Ward win this tourny though, he got me interested in his fight with Kessler I feel he has a promising career ahead of him with Pacquiao and Mayweather likely thinking about retirement boxing needs it’s talent to rise.
Well it’s about time. Every decade had some amazing ass fights, but boxing in general has fallen off in the 2000’s. Last time I was truly excited about boxing was during Mike Tyson days. Just glad we finally get a mega fight during this damn decade.

IMO, Neither Manny nor Floyd are/have been ducking each other. It’s just both of them are being fucking bitches plain and simple.
According to Manny, it’s floyd that has to make the challenge due to Manny being considered the greatest by the most and that his ppv scored higher. Both men feel that they are in the position in where they should be called out. Floyd isn’t ducking, but you need to admit that he is being a prick. You guys do know that one of the greatest reasons why a Pac/Mayweather showdown will be off the hook is because we will see a Freddie Roach vs Mayweather Sr part 2 in addition! Roach vs FMW sr was probably the golden side of the Hatton/Pacquiao fight. Roach and FMW going at it is just too damn good!

Imo, I don’t like the second round of the turney. I’d rather see a unification bout between Ward and Froch, Abraham vs. Kessler, and Dirrell vs. Taylor. But, the fights been predetermined already.

Hmm… well, it’s certain that every boxer cares more about himself (the victory and the money more) above the fans. But lets just get it straight, PBF doesn’t give a SHIT period. The promos floyd dishes out are even better than his performances. We can go back with the whole DLH comparison, Pacquiao/DLH was a much more exciting fight than PBF/DLH. Morales/Pac (1-3) and Marquez/Pac are memorable matches because they got you on the edge with such aggressiveness and action.
The action in PBF’s most recent fights, where piss poor and it’s shitty that PBF marks wont admit this. That is the reason why Pacquiao is currently above PBF in ranking,regardless of PBF’s streak.
Pacquiao has been the impressive one, not Floyd. Manny has been escalating in impressing the audience for the last 3 years, floyd hasn’t. It’s manny that went against the bigger men and gave the audience a shocking demolish of their underestimation on him. That’s what he wants to deliver; he wants to impress the audience and give them good action packed fight to watch.
Floyd doesn’t give a shit if his matches lack action, or if people leave during the middle of the fight. Just as long as he’s getting the money out of it (and wins).
That is the main reason why people hate Floyd and why people put Manny over him. Boxers are rated by their impressiveness. More people care about Manny more than floyd because Manny has given more of a money’s worth of matches.
To just hit the point: Floyd’s wins only for him… he does not win for his fans, but just for himself… while manny wins where/are for his fans (importantly the Filipino community).
This isn’t a pro-manny/anti floyd post, the greatest poster is just giving out the truth at the present differences between them and why Manny is written and said to be the greatest today.
Then I guess the same thing could be said about all highly defensive fighters, like Chris Byrd (Well, it has been said). Only difference is Floyd hasn’t been beaten.

Predictions, anyone? I say that Berto gives him trouble in the early rounds, but runs out of gas halfway through the fight to take a Mosley beating. Mosley by split decision.
I’ve had high hopes for Andre Berto since he came on the scene. But I began to doubt his stamina after watching him fight Luis Collazo. Collazo is def no slouch, but I had previously placed Berto in much higher regard, considering him well on his way to becoming one of boxing’s elite. Didn’t appear to be the case after the Collazo fight. I’m honestly surprised he didn’t get knocked out.
I hope Berto proves me wrong, though. He appears to be faster than PBF/PAC put together, but that won’t do him any good if his chin won’t hold up, or if he’s going to run out of gas mid-fight.
Opinions? Predictions? Anyone? Or do SRK’s “boxing fans” only care about PBF/PAC?
On another note: A fighter can be defensive and still entertaining. Problem is floyd throw 2 punch combination. Pernell was an exciting defensive fighter but Floyd is much better and less entertaining. Floyd is the best right now but far from exciting compared to many other fighters.
Manny’s speed will be nothing to Floyd. Zab is faster than both Floyd and Manny and it didn’t help him beat Floyd.
Fight hasn’t even been pencilled and people are already bitching about the way he might win. What’s suggested above is stupid anyway what they call ‘‘toe to toe’’ I call stupid. What they call running I call boxing.
I don’t know why people think Mayweather should throw away his game plan and stand toe to toe with Pacquiao. I’d laugh and enjoy if the fight ended up like his fight with Baldomir I have no problem watching somebody get outboxed.
