Are there any followups after the H Grenade’s fire connects? Assists only?
Have there been any good traps/tech with his projectiles since you can have multiple on the screen at a time?

whats the best follow up to Payoff(:l: BP’s finisher) if im midscreen? Just magnum?
what are people doing for OTG’s? im getting handgun but no follow up afterwards…
Magnum superjump air magnum (yeah it combos), but don’t use his punch combinations, they are lame, it’s better to go for a relaunch combo since you corner them, and puts you in a position where you can rape them with flamethrower.
Shadow, for OTG jump magnum - relaunch
I have Haggar in my team, so you can add a second OTG in the end (aircombo - air magnum - relaunch air combo - c.H + Haggar Flamethrower) does around 600K, not bad for not using meter, if I have meter then I use shorter combos into DHC for 100%
I never use X-Factor with him, but I have a meterless easy combo that does 1.4M with XF Level 1, works anywhere on the screen and is easy as hell to confirm from a c.M.
I preffer to save it for a XFL3 Sentinel, but that rarely ever happens lol.
I think I finally have a good Chris, anyone want to play? I’m not a scrub, my record on ranked play is currently 100-2 with this team.

From an air combo ending with :s: you can land > :uf: > air magnum > :f::h:. If you’ve already done an otg all you can do is :d::h: > :a1: > :h:
From an air combo ending with air magnum, you can land > dash > :f::h: > :s: and do another air combo into the previous otg i mentioned.
Also, a great x factor combo using one meter that works anywhere on any character and does about 1.0-1.4 million starting from a hit confirmed magnum is:
:d::df::f::h: > :l::h::s: (x factor) > dash > :uf::d::df::f::h: > dash > :f::h: > :s: >
>:m: > :h: > :s: > dash and Dante jam session assist > :d::h: > assist connects against wall > :d::df::f::atk::atk:
Kills anyone in one go and looks stylish as fuck
Got to fight Ryry in Grand Finals in my town but I clearly wasn’t ready. Dropped way too much stuff.

My PS3 died this week so I haven’t had a chance to polish my game. I’m gonna keep tabs on this thread and try and pick up some stuff. Once I pin down my execution and judgement I’ll get around to doing better combos and match-up specific stuff. Dormammu is just too beast.
Definitely going to try this. Crouching L is pretty damn slow against a lot of the cast so the range of Crouching M might be a better choice. It’s probably the same reason why I choose Haggar’s Standing A over his Crouching A.
What’s your general strategy with him. I’m finally getting the game tomorrow lol
Spam magnum and your assists, get some combos in to build meter for your second/third characters
aerial magnum or ground magnum?
Ok guys lets get some things straighten out here, Chris combo mid screen what is the best one to date an his corner combo as well?
:d::h::f::h:,:qcb::l:>:l:>:m:>:h: wall bounce ground magnum, from there this combo nvr connects with air magnum unless ur close to the corner, i’ve been trying it with no success so correct me if i dont know something…
Now this is what that works :d::h::f::h:,:qcb::l:>:l:>:m:>:h: wall bounce dash :h::f::h::s:,sj
:h::s: normal jump air magnum, ground magnum, lvl 3. Without the lvl 3 it does 506k, u guys can help me modify it to work with assist thanks.
Edit: even that combo looks like it won’t work mid screen, it looks like it pushes u to the corner everytime but from the next side of the screen not sure if the dash after the :qcb::l:>:l:>:m:>:h: will reach can someone try it out.
Btw :d::h::f::h::s:,sj
:h::qcf::h:, the :qcf::h: nvr connects for some reason in the air or are u suppose to add :s: to it then do it on the ground, jump forward air magnum then u do :h::f::h::s: sj
:h::s: land :d::h: assist
:h:…
found a… funny combo
1337,000 dmg with doom assist
ground magnum->XFC->dash>lowest air magnum>ground magnum>call in doom assist>dash 2c>214C (hard boulder punch)>lvl 3
more practical combo would just replace everything after the XFC with
dash 2b5c6c5e>bbce>call in assist compatible with chris 2c>flame thrower if assist allows (doom, for example) or just do BCE
Damn bro, some very nice play there you woulda definitely won if you hadn’t dropped so many combos. I played chris for the first time last night and I definitely think more so than sentinel, haggar is a must have on your team. You can combo easily into the sweep combo of his lariat, it helps keep those pesky rushdown characters honest, and he is the only character ive found so far who DHCs perfectly in and out with chris. The only issue i found with him is his projectiles, while they beat every other projectile in the game are too damn slow. I was thinking bout tossing modok into that team to help deal with projectile spam.
Yea Haggar seems to be good for Chris, but when Chris dies Haggar will be helpless thats why another helper such as MODOK will help Haggar alot, btw MODOK will lose if they get above him which isn’t hard to do… My team right now is Chris point (combination punch) Ryu (Shoryuken) Amy (cold star).
Chris will benefit from Ryu’s shoryuken for AA assist, Amy’s cold star for rushing down which is what i’m going to be doing, not hard rush down but play aggressive.
Ryu will benefit from Chris combination punch what i do is advance guard then use chris combination puch assist from what i read ryu have problems dealing with rush down locks etc so i’m hoping this will work to some extent.
Amy will will benefit from both of them as well.
DHC will work nicely as well, if they do decide to play run away Chris can handle it, Ryu can spam Hadou and Amy can zip across. Btw Ryu is very effective at punishing with shin hadou so chris meters will go to him so Amy can clean up
I find that Morrigan seems to have a lot of synergy with Chris.
The mayor will never be helpless as long as he got DAT PIPE
Lol Tell Arthur, sent, MODOK, Trish, Deadpool that…
Yea i pretty much agree with u there, but ryu for me have too much damage potential with his mid screen combos, pretty much 95%
with 1 meter mid screen from doing :l::h::f::h::rdp::h:, wavedash twice
:s: sj
:h::qcb:::h::qcf::atk::atk:
And im not even putting in lvl 3, plus his punishments with shin hadou.
I will try Morrigan out…
The pipe fears nobody . I’ll use down c to close the gap then they’ll receive a quick pipe to the cranium
Ok i’m going by friend to play i will try Chris Hagar Morrigan, then use my team Chris Ryu Amy, i have a feeling the first team will own
edit: can someone answer my post about the combos, i’m pretty much going to do :d::h::f::h:,:qcb::l:>:l:>:m:>:h:,:h::f::h::s: sj
:h::s: j.air mag ground mag lvl 3
For Chris’ level 3 super, the crosshair is supposed to start at where chris is at right?
Because sometimes when I combo it off the corner the crosshair starts way past the corner.
Anyone know why or what I’m doing wrong?
