Bloomington IN Hype in Hoosierville!

Sorry about my absence. Grad school ate my life. I’m down here for the summer and desperate for some human opponents.

Does anyone in Bloomington play anything? I play tekken regularly(only one person to play against in town) but ima tryin to (re)learn 2Ds like SSF4 and MVC3

I can only imagine how awesome that person is.

Anyway, for those who are interested in Tekken, Both NK and I are playing at least weekly at my crib. If you are interested, let us know.

ouch… this thread hasn’t moved since the FIRST T3… well here’s the info for the 5th one… i hope to see you there Dave man y’know we love you… the new faces are more than welcome too if you think you got a shot at the monay…

T3: The Ballistic Beatdown! 7-9-2011

The 5th T3 tournament since we’ve started holding them… this one will boast the biggest tournament playlist, and hopefully the biggest crowd… I’m encouraging everyone to come so that we can lay all of our competition to rest… and i want to see who is adapting to AE the best… this is really the only game i’m looking to so bring it my friends

here’s the facebook event page if you need it: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?..83.1836107975#!/event.php?eid=152641088142910

Location: The Tilt Studios Arcade in the Circle Centre Mall in downtown Indianapolis Indiana … pretty rudimentary at this point but the address is: 49 W Maryland St. Ste. 101, Indianapolis, Indiana

Time: Saturday July 6th, promptly at 6pm… but of course we run on gamer time

Games: SSF4:AE, MvC3, MK9, and SF3:3S… there’s also likely to be a couple side tournaments

Venue: there’s a $10 venue fee to be paid up front at the redemption desk as per usual, anyone with a Tilt fight club membership gets a reduced fee of $5 aswell

Money & Payout: All tournaments require a $10 entry fee, all tournament pots payout to the top 3 participants; %70 to the winner, %20 to the runner-up, and %10 to third place

Rules: All the 4 main tournaments are double elimination unless stated otherwise, grand finals are 3 out of 5

**SSF4:AE: **$10 entry, played on PS3 (for Renegade), no character bans, 2/3 rounds, 2/3 games, loser can switch characters and Ultras, winner must stay
MvC3: $10 entry, played on PS3, no character bans, 2/3 games, loser can switch team, winner must stay
**MK9: **$10 entry, played on PS3, Kratos is banned, so is the traffic stage, standard mode, 2/3 rounds, 2/3 games, loser can switch characters, winner must stay (any ruling on Skarlet yet?)
Third Strike: $10 entry, played on PS2 (unless we miraculously get O.E.), Gill is banned, Sean is encouraged, 2/3 rounds, 2/3 games, loser can switch characters and SA, winner must stay on

and an incentive to just the SRK players, if you bring me a PS3 (just the console or a setup) to run tournament games on I’ll cut any entry fee you request down to half… please PM me on this regard

Hello Bloomington kids. I’ll be attending IU this coming fall so I wanted to introduce myself. At the moment I play tekken and mvc3, and as soon as 3SO comes out I’ll be playing that. How’s Bloomington’s fighting game scene?

When it comes to Tekken… not so great. I moved to Bloomington last year and I was fortunately able to meet NK. Once a while we would make a trip to OH to hang out w/ their tekken crew, and we try to keep our weekly session going.

Where are you from, Slusho?

Seems like we got what could be the start of a decent little scene here. I am down to learn more Tekken and once 3SO hits I will be on that shit every day.

I’m from northwest Indiana. I haven’t really gotten into any fighting game scene because other than my brother the closest spot to play people is all the way in Chicago. It’s tough when you don’t have a car. What games ARE big in Bloomington? I’m not a big SF4 fan but I’ll play whatever.

Once again, I’ll say that I’m down to play anyone in anything. Let me know a time when everyone wants to get down and I can even host. Just let me know.

Whats up on Saturday, Ghetto? I think we could get some games in.

We meet up at my place every Friday night, pretty much from post dinner til… I dunno, when we are tired?

But yes, you guys are all welcome. I can fit 5-6 players here w/ no problems. If you guys are interested in bringing another TV/PS3, then it would be awesome.

EDIT: address change. msg me for more detail.

There were a lot of maybes and not a lot of gaming this past weekend. Noodlehead is out of town this week, so that means Im either going to A) play something like Alice:Madness Returns or Rift some more or maybe the APB open beta or B) someone else steps up to fill his place. If anyone is interested in friday/weekend gaming lemme know. I can host if needed, but I only have a 360 with SSF4 MvC3 Tekken6 and BB:CS

anything this weekend? anyone? did everyone leave me here alone?

Im in town, but Im busy tonight. I could probably play Saturday though.

any afternoon/evening this weekend works for me give me a call if you wanna get some games in

So… what days do people normally meet once the fall semester starts? I just planned out my schedule today. My Monday’s are looking awful but the rest of the week is looking good.

noodle I may be able to come out this Friday. I manage the night shift (Bubs on 8th and Morton), but will be open around 11-11:30ish.

LOL I hate you guys.

I am in the process of moving to a new place especially this weekend, and while there is a session, it would be a pretty ghetto one (at my new place) considering that I’ve got NOTHING set up at the moment. Chances are, the TV, the ps3, and our butts will be on the floor (clean, however). If you are up for it, then we will open that night for ya.

Oh and, obviously the address will not be the same. Let me know if you are absolutely interested, and I will PM you the address.

@Slusho: We meet on Fridays.

You are awesome. Normally we fight about where to get dinner… rather who has to choose where the heck to go before gaming. I havent been to Bubs yet so we’ll be seeing you at work friday =P

very nice. Noodle I’d still be down. I can maybe bring another set-up too (ps3 and tv). Ps3 for certain, not 100% on the tv
