No. I played with a couple people in my program saturday. They weren’t really any good though, and I spent all summer teaching SSFIV to people. I need to start learning myself 
You’d probably have to show me some shit too, I’ve played SSF4 like five times total maybe. I mostly pick Guile or DeeJay and hope I can use them like in ST, which doesn’t work out very well usually.
We should try to get together this weekend maybe. I don’t think I have any plans or anything.

This is kinda short notice, but i just finalized the plans yesterday… if we get enough competitors at this initial event then I’ll start hosting them monthly, but for now I’m aiming this first one towards the Indiana players and also to get some quality practice before SB the that weekend. I might need some assistance running brakets if anyone wants to volunteer. Any and all competitors are welcome
We’ll be playing it out on the cabinets and we get all 3 of the xbox 360 cabs for the entirety of the tournament provided we have 2 more 360 copies of the game (i’m putting out a call to arms). Don’t worry i talked to Vic and he told me they fixed the broken 2P side so we’re clear on that.
When: Tuesday, October 10th, 2010 i’d like to ask everyone what their preferred start time is so i can find some middle ground but currently I’m aiming for 3 or 4pm
Where: The Tilt arcade at Circle Center Mall downtown in the fighter’s corner. Ask the counter clerk where the tournament is if you manage to get lost
Fees and $: $10 entry fee, no need for gamecards unless you intend on playing something other than SSF4 we got it covered… the winner and runner up both split the winner’s pot 70/30
Rules: All characters allowed, loser can switch, winner stays, 2/3 rounds, 2/3 matches, full double elimination, all played out on the arcades xbox 360 sweet-tooth cabinets for oldskool nostalgia and footing

Yo sorry guys I’ve just been really busy these last few weeks. Unfortunately it’s not looking too good for weeeknd get-togethers. I’m going to Fort Wayne tomorrow (I think, not 100 sure on that). Next weekend I have a midterm early Saturday, and either Season’s Beatings or work (not sure which yet. I wish they hadn’t scheduled it on our homecoming weekend). I can probably still do during the week though. I’d also be down to go to Indy for that tournament if anybody was interested.

I’m up for it, if you don’t mind playing plenty of HDR. I’ll play anything, but the only game I even consider myself mediocre at is ST/HDR. I’d be up for some SSF4 if you want though, just don’t expect much out of me. I’m not exactly a big fan of SF4. Wouldn’t mind playing some 3S, I can bring a PS2 and SFAC if you want.
I just got a 360 and have been playing tekken 6 but havent had a chance to play ssf4 yet. I do have a busted AES with no controller and a bunch of KOF carts just sitting around though!

i don’t have a good time yet (i’ll post again if/when i find one) but two of Fort Wayne’s players, MasamuneShadow and LilMuskrat, suddenly seem to hate each other and will be playing each other in 5 different Street Fighter games. each player is putting up a whopping $350 of their own money, not fronted by a millionaire poker pro like many other high stakes matches. the person to win 3 or more of the games takes the entire $700 pot. don’t ask cuz i dunno anything more about it than what i’m posting here.
the games will be arcade ST, arcade A3 Upper, 2nd Impact, 3rd Strike, and SSF4. i didn’t choose the game selection, just going by what i was told so again don’t ask on a few of the selections.
just figured something like this would generate some hype. i’m going to try live streaming their matches from my phone tomorrrow night when it goes down. all i know is that it won’t happen until at least 7pm at the earliest. again this is going down tomorrow night. Saturday, November 12.

ok after a little testing i am sad to say that trying to stream from my Evo 4G sucks. it will be a real choppy stream that will be hard to watch i imagine… regardless i’m still gonna try it :tup:

I agree, although now probably won’t be the best time for me. I’m traveling a lot this holiday. But I do have a couple days (Tuesday Evening-Thursday Evening) this week that I could host. Don’t know if anybody will be here though.

Hey I just found this thread…I realize it’s old but this is perfect. I’m just getting into fighting games and would love some competition IRL. Anybody down? I’m pretty scrubby at the moment, just beginning to really play fighters.
