Speaking of Tekken, I know you guys will be down for Christmas Combat the following weekend. I was gonna ask what time u guys were gonna get in town since I’ll only be there from when the arcade opens up till about 3pm when I have to go to work, so I wanted to get as many games w/ya guys as possible? Thanks in advance on any info u can send my way about this matter. :tup:
Also, Josh, that sucks your PS Triple went out on ya. It does seem these newer systems only have two USB ports instead of four these days. That seems odd why they do that. I’m chalking it up to Sony being a bunch of lazy asses if u ask me. :lol:

While everyone’s hype on AE2012 I think I’m just going to pass on that game and try to play KOFXIII. I’m just not at all excited about SF4 anymore. Derek seems all for it, too. Interested in being the KOF guru of the group, Nick?
so @Noodle, you have options! You can learn KOF or Marvel but you have to learn a 2D fighter for sure.

Im going to be buying XIII sooner or later, though it is not going to be that fun for me! They changed the hell out of ralf, it has no blue mary in it, leona’s style is different than the one I like, what team am I supposed to play omg? I guess ill have to pick up shenwu or elizabeth or something. I could always fall back on the fatal fury team or the women’s team if I need another char, and theres still iori and kyo i guess… i want shermie mary vanessa chris and yamazaki (and to some extent angel marin and b jenet) back blegh
From what I’ve seen Ralf is so good! He looks super cheap.
You’ll find someone in your character crisis for sure. What are the major differences between XIII and the versions you played?
I tend to go grappler chars, so i played ralf sort of how i played clark, its just that ralf had other better tools to keep him there as point. I didnt handle charging well so with leona i tended to just do use things like heartattack(which is gone) and instant overheads to avoid xcalibur and ground slasher, while moon slash i could use fairly well. That was just in the team I would default to in an entirely unfamiliar game. Then theres all this new junk like drive meter and drive cancels. I guess hyper neomax isnt too different than kof97 where you would spend a stock to go into max mode and then get an SDM from there using another stock. I guess its more of me missing my normal point char blue mary who had all sorts of specials and command grabs as well…
Josh, Nick, & Andrew: I’m glad u guys were able to head out yesterday to Cincinnati for Christmas Combat. As always, it was hella awesome chillin’ w/ya guys & getting in some great Tekken matches. :tup:
