I liked the GC PF one the most. Xion and Bakuryu were my 2 main characters. Hell, xion had good range during beast form and Bakuryu was kinda like the strider of the game.
does anyone know how to combo Long’s/Shen-long’s Laceration special? doing QCBx2+B just makes them walk over but i’ve seen it being comboed before.
I still loved BR2 the most, because I played that one the most, when it first hit. When 3 came out I stopped playing the games all together. The only infinite I remember being in BR2 was Uriko’s beast mode only infinite. I’m sure there others but the one she has is stupid easy to do. Still it’s a great series and concept even for today. I’ll see if I can get a copy of BR2 from a GS and try it out again.
I remember Bloody Roar for the crazy shit people were doing with the debug mode in like BR2 or BR3… and the cover art for the original was badass.

How come I don’t remember that? Is that PAL boxart or something?
I remember this one: http://images.snesorama.us/BloodyRoar_NTSC_Front.jpg
The only thing I remember in BR3 is Marvel’s (Shina?) infinte. Beast mode, scoop up, slam down, repeat.
Nocturnal : Any idea how you do it? I only have a copy of BR2 and main Uriko.
That’s not an infinite.
Huh? It’s not? Pretty sure there was a cancel point in there somehwere that you could abuse to keep the combo going.
Either way though I know she had some full life bar combos and at the very least some 80%-90% life bar combos. She had some of the easiest ones as I recall.
Thought we already discussed infinites…there’s only two, geez.
u+P xx QCB+B --> (AC) K, f+B --> QCF+P/QCB+B --> (AC) K, f+B -->
QCB+B/QCF+B…
people, its not an infinite. Yes it does devasating damage and at the wall it can do 70% to 90% damage, but its fully escapable (air recover after the QCF+P/QCB+B then attack/escape)
kthnx.
And Shina loses hard against people that play safe/turtlers. She can’t really put much pressure on the opponent. Her only good low attack is 2B and nothing combos off it nor does it give much frame advantage. Everything else is either difficult to connect or too vulnerable like 2K. She doesn’t have a standing command grab either; just block her and punish.
Yeah, I knew that but she can still hit you after you air recovery and combo you. So it’s not guaranteed but she can still combo the fuck outta you.
Then you’re not air teching correctly.
If she had a garanteed tech trap after escaping from the combo at that point I just listed, then I wouldn’t have said anything.
Pretty sure in human form she can do 1K, QCF + P and you won’t go as high since it’s her normal form and even if you air tech she can combo you. Don’t have the game so I can’t test but I recall this working when I set the cpu to auto tech.
Well I honestly never seen a Shina do it from that set-up (we are talking about the same combo, correct?) but if involves any of the notation I listed above it is fully escapable (the timing for the tech is pinpoint difficult however) and you can get away without fear of a tech trap. Its even easier in PF because the tech window is larger.
Most people don’t escape because teching from most combos requires CPU-like reflexes.
Like I said, if she had a garanteed tech trap I would have kept my mouth shut.
like Tech Romancer said its not a infinit you can loop it about 4 times before they loose hight and hit the floor, its also techable after the re-launch with the air recovery so you can evade or hit shina out of the combo if your quick enough. realisticaly it will do like 40% - 70% damage depending on opponent and wether there in beast or not
