Long can’t juggle for his life. Shenlong is top tier, but not Long or Uriko. I got the list from Kou-den, a BR3 tourney player at Alpha Station; the only person I would dispute is Xion in tops, although I can see theoricatly how he could be up there with his range, extreme cancelable strings and ability to flow to beast drives and frametraps/throws very easily. He said it gets murky in mid tier, so just lumps them all together.
I loved this game back in the day - unfortunately I had zero comp for the longest time. Still don’t have any. :sad:

Andrew I’d take that PF if you don’t have any other buyers, and to spare the hassle of shipping. Not quite sure when I’d be back at the arcade or in Nashville but I always wanted that game. Either it or Extreme because Extreme had Fang in US version. I bought my mom a GC a few months before she passed so I might just go get that and get some PF on eventually anyway.
All you have to do is import Extreme for Gamecube and buy a Freeloader disc somewhere, or import the game and the system (50 bucks for the system, probably MUCH less for the game considering it’s age). I was NOT a fan of Extreme Xbox’s shitty cgi replacing Gamecube’s hand drawn animation.

In the endings as well; but honestly who cares about the animation? You should be picking up the game to play it.
In all the time I’ve had PF, I’ve only unlocked, like three character endings; I’m in versus or practice mode 95% of the time.

Anywho, quick romp with Kohryu. I really like him… good lows, solid bnb regardless if they air tech or not, takes good damage, fast…don’t be surprised if I play him more than I intend to when I get back to recording match vids.

I love the BR series, I’m glad u made a thread on it…although i just got a quick question. I own BRX and BR2, what is ur personal opinion of 2 and do u think it is a balanced enough game worthy of serious competition. On that note, have u ever considered writing a extensive FAQ for this game. I always felt this game got a bit overshadowed in the genre, I would love if a major company like Saga or EA games got there hands on this franchise and revived it u know.

I thought BR1 was a bit too broken with stuff like Mitsuko infinite, but I only played casually so don’t take my word on that. And you might have to ban Shenlong in BR2 to level the playing field.
Yeah BR4 sucks, although ShadowAce seems deadset on playing it, for some reason.

Unlockables for BR3
I’ve been playing BR3 for a while now, and I love it. I usually use Long or Shenlong, and sometimes Xion.
It’s usually my three brothers and I playing fighting games all night, into the morning, and BR3 hasn’t left the the console for days, but recently it’s gotten boring since we’ve used all the characters, and with all of us wanting to play at the same time, we don’t really play single player.
But due to their lack of interest, I happened to unlock Kohryu in Arcade Mode and looking at this thread I saw a few names I didn’t Recognise.
How many characters are unlockable, and how do I do it?
That’s vanilla BR3. Besides Kohryu the only other character to unlock is Uranus…and she’s way too powerful in that one so expect someone to bitch if you use her (properly).
The other characters are in Bloody Roar Primal Fury/Extreme the update to that one so you don’t have access to them. In anycase, Gamefaqs tells you how to unlock everyone.
A question: Are you sure you are playing the game right? If you are “using all the characters” you are either a god at this game, subpar with all them, or not very good…
Subpar with most, and (among my brothers and friends anyway) untouchable with Long, Shenlong, and Xion. They get mad when I use either of those three.
I haven’t “mastered” every Character, just played with each one enough to know which ones I like and which ones I don’t.
Uriko and Yugo are also pretty easy to use, in my opinion anyway.
