I do not own the projector, well I did until this afternoon when I returned it to costco. I did a little better then breaking even but nowhere near enough to keep the projector.
but before you guys get ahead of yourselves there are somethings to keep in mind about the venue. yes the space is awesome, but it comes at a price. and that is that it is wholly at the mercy of Theatre off Jackson’s scheduling. remember when the Main Event was going to be the day after the gallery opening? yeah, that can and will happen because theater people flaky.
so just keep in mind that you need to look at dates well in advance, and be prepared to have shit moved on you.
Elias! Omg, if I had known this last night, I would’ve totally taken you up on the offer; I really wanted to stay. =( I’ll keep it in mind the next time Bremerton gets in my way of taking 1st place. … I KNOW I could’ve beaten Ray and JTS, with the utmost respect. le sigh
le Sigh i think it was awesome when de lucifer car broke down and we were asking people on the stream if they can come down and help this angelic boy with his car hahaha
Yea, I’m also gonna chime in on how awesome it was. A 70 man bracket is something totally insane, and I know you didn’t anticipate that so many people would play - but they did! Really cool for the Portland folks to come down (or up, as I was corrected lol).
This definitely has to become an annual thing man, and I’m sure if you decide to do something like this again, there will be more artwork because I talked to a whole bunch of people who said that if there’s another one of those, they’ll make something.
lol dope. i loved how Dave asked if anyone had jumper cables and everyone just laughed. thanks for the guy who tried to help me jump it again though. but AAA ended up doing the job.
ggs to everyone last night and good shit on running that event. there was a lot more people there than i expected.
I played pretty shitty, but fear not, blanka will be back, especially for you Pat…
I may not be remembered too well here as I’ve pretty much been out of the Capcom scene for awhile, but I showed up last night to spectate some and had a great time. Venue was great and the matches were hype as hell.
I must apologize for some of the blur. Not too great at taking low light settings. Probably should have used a faster lens. I’ve never been a serious player but it was great playing against real people again.
Also, fyi these pics were resized as I normally shoot in ginormous resolution. So if anyone wants full sized pics let me know.
I meant to say hey to you! Hell I meant to kinda mingle more with the non-capcom side of the room in general but I was just hella in the SF zone and didn’t even want to watch other style games being played. It paid off, though. We should play GG some time, you can’t be any more rusty than I am.
Props to mothafuggin Tanaka-san for stressing himself out in order to run the brackets in a timely manner. Appreciate the sacrifice.
BN was a lot of fun, despite getting knocked out pretty damn early in both BB and SF it was a good times all around. THough it was random as hell when someone int he Tekken scene brought over some Burgers for us BlazBlue players.
Nice pics! That’s Fatbear, Dirty Cole and me at the very end. I was having a great night and was buying a lot of people drinks. I just bought Fatbear that one and he tried to toast with me except I had just finished my drink. LOL.
would anybody like one of the polaroid light boxes? I don’t really have the space to store the piece so I’ll be tearing it apart soon. each of the 8 light boxes can become it’s own separate piece as they are all on their own lighting source. I can also remove the front so that it is easier to view each of them.
