Wow, the Underground Lab boss is fucking stuuuuupid on hard mode.

Is that the doppelganger?

No itā€™s the dashing boss and to be honest he ended up being a joke once I switched to Volacs Shard. Roasted him alive with 0 effort. For all the trouble I had with him before, that shard did all the wordk in less then 10 seconds, no joke. Felt like cheating lol.

Now Iā€™m stuck on Bloodless but its ok, I gonna leave and finosh mapping out the Livre Ex Machina and make my way to Hall of Terimination. The exploration will be my ā€œgrindā€ for Bloodless.

Ahh yeah thatā€™s right. I get that and that other lab that isnā€™t the Oriental one mixed up. Bloodless is pretty easy if you remember to jump behind her whenever you can. Pretty much all her attacks hit in front of her, itā€™s like a Bloodborne boss lol

While true, unlike most Bloodborne bosses she back dashes a lot and unlike anything in Bloodborne touching her does a grip of damage.

Back to CotM2, boss rush on veteran is no joke. Way more bosses than the first, and much harder. Got to the final boss a couple times and got spanked, need to practice the bastard (and a couple of the other end bosses) more. I kind of wish the boss rush was broken into chunks, the first 4-5 are so much easier than the last half that itā€™s just a slog getting back to the tough ones- though of course thatā€™s generally how boss rushes go, I suppose.

Do you go through every single boss or are their lanes like in RotN?

Every single boss from every episode (meaning all 3 final bosses). A lane approach would have been ideal, even if it was only 2 of them. Still glad to have the mode, mastering the bosses is satisfying.

Oh, and back to the music- more of it has really grown on me. The very final level in particular sounds mean as shit.

Cleared it, and did so while working on beer 5. Got to internalize those patterns. The reward is that you basically get to game genie that mode afterwards- you can toggle weapon/heart respawns and infinite MP.

My man! Those type of games, once you get the patterns down, theyā€™re easy mode. But getting them down is really really tough.

They better have fixed that extra item slots nonsense that cheated me out of my platinum :sob:

The good news is that you can try again!!

I love the idea of speedrun mode in this game but itā€™s really tough trying to get a fast time and beat some of the bosses when youā€™re that weak. :expressionless: Anyway, looking forward to checking this patch out when it finally drops.

Chroma Wheel/Boss Revenge patch finally dropped for Switch. Havenā€™t gotten around to trying it out yet, but Iā€™m looking forward to fooling with the bosses especially.

Played through classic mode on normal after work today. A bit brief (took me a little over an hour), but certainly a nice bonus. Didnā€™t notice you could backstep until the CV4-esque credits showed it. Just FYI, you can backflip like Rondo, jump on/off stairs, to the ā€œjust frameā€ whip like Rondo, and do a slide- didnā€™t test to see if the slide hits enemies. Lots of medusa heads, overall structure is very CV1 throwback. Bosses went down really easy (in terms of damage needed to beat them) on normal.
