I already got to play Bloodstained Curse of the Moon on PC and it is an absolute blast! The aesthetics are brilliant and the gameplay is top notch. Inti Creates has done it again, props to these guys for an excellent job. It’s a full game in and of itself with great replay value and I wouldn’t be surprised if the speed running community picks this up real soon. Check it out y’all!

My early tier list for Curse of the Moon:
S Tier: none
A Tier: Miriam, Alfred
B Tier: Zangetsu, Gebel
So, when you recruit allies, Zangetsu threatens to kill them. I thought it was just Zangetsu being Zangetsu, but apparently you can kill the allies before recruiting them, and you get special abilities for doing so.

Beat COTM for the first time the other day, and unlocked a new mode. The new mode is even more reminiscent of CV3, which is neat. The alternate routes are pretty tough but you can get some upgrades for completing them. I think the bosses are different too; I’m pretty sure the first boss’ fireballs didn’t linger on the ground in normal mode.

You can unlock another mode by killing all of your allies instead of recruiting them. Makes Zangetsu a hell of a lot more fun to use as well- lots of new abilities and a charge attack when starting the new mode.

I also love the fact that if you go at the game as solo Zangetsu, it plays almost like 8-bit Ninja Gaiden to some degree. The new skills he gets are an obvious tip of the hat to that franchise if I’m not mistaken. Now I want an 8-bit Ninja Gaiden rip-off! Lolololol

Been enjoying Curse of the Moon so far. I got it Saturday and finished it Sunday morning because I was so thrilled to have a classicvania style game to play! I’m going through Nightmare mode now and the bosses are definitely tougher this time around, but I’m also looking forward to doing a solo Zangetsu run and getting all his special abilities. He’s decidedly average without them but from what I’ve heard, he’s easily the best character in the game with them.

There is an upcoming indie game called The Messenger that you might want to look into.
I gotta be honest, Curse of the Moon was a ton of fun, but Bloodstained isn’t looking anywhere near as cool despite being the main game…
Though, this might speak more to how awesome Inticreates is with 2D games than anything else
I’ve seen that game before and personally, it feels TOO polished in some aspects imo whereas Curse of the Moon gets the “clunkiness” of the controls just right. meh.
Did they nerf the tentacle titty monster boss’s titties? They seem smaller. Mariam seems to have gotten hit too. After Samus got robbed of her goods, I became very suspicious of shits like this.

I think RotN looks good, but then I really like the 2.5D thing. I don’t know why people shit on Dracula X Chronicles because that game is downright gorgeous in a lot of places.

I just finished the Bloodstained Curse of the Moon and am now looking forward to this game. I was on the fence, but I was actually impressed with Curse of the Moon even though it was kind of short. In general I am typically pretty skeptical of kickstarter games and won’t give them money until they at least produce an early access steam release. Too many kickstarters make big promises and fail to deliver because of project scope creep.
BOTW doesnt fuck around. Ive died so many times now…smh.
I got thru the Normal and Nightmare modes of CotM without too much trouble. It’s kind of an easier classicvania, although the bosses in Nightmare were tough in spots.
I’m starting a solo Zangetsu run and just saw my first Game Over screen though. He’s so limited even with the powers you get by killing the allies.

They reworked that boss a bit, the current version (left) looks a lot better all things considered.
Don’t see any differences with Myriam but it’s hard to tell with the camera being so far away.

A bit? There’s a ton of changes not just the boobs. Hell even if it isn’t boobs just sick of people bitching and boom they always get what they want. Now they see more and more all they have to do is bitch enough to change anything they want to what they want.
The change from the looks of it is for the better. Looks more polish and less bright. She’s still stacked without the balloon tits.
