They changed the first boss. Some people bitched about it, it seems.
@ā¦well, everyone Whenever you see comments from us on our online platforms it comes (usually) from me, Iām Roberto Piraino, (Angel-Corlux) the brand manager at 505 Games responsible for publishing Bloodstained. I can personally guarantee everyone that both with the marketing/publishing (my domain) or the design of the game (Igaās domain) there is not a single decision that is made in order to pander to anyone with any kind of agenda. Whether itās social, religious, political or any kind of other activism or ideology, we avoid all of it like the plague. And consequentially, weāre pretty deaf to any feedback that comes as a result of those/any agendas. The only thing guiding IGA is making Bloodstained the biggest, funnest, best looking game heās ever made, as HE envisions it. There are times when he brings stuff to me and is like āwill we get in trouble for this?ā and Iām just like āhaha I donāt care, Iāll fight whoever, wherever to defend your artistic choices, you make your masterpieceā. Now obviously thatās within reason, and there are limits of course, but there hasnāt been a single time where I even considered telling Iga āhey can we change/tone down x,y,z?ā, mostly because Iga doesnāt work in the āextremesā of the artistic spectrum when it comes to things like violence or sexuality. Finally, specifically here with Vepar, there were a few major goals driving the rework effort, and some of them included things like making her look more menacing, more gothic/demonic (also due to fan feedback), as well as making her more attractive/seductive since her monster philosophy includes an element of functioning as a siren to lure sailors to their deaths. And making her more seductive also meant some changes to her face, itās much more detailed and realistic now if you take a good look. Obviously āmore attractiveā is always going to be subjective to the eye of the beholder (or in this case game creator) and at least personally I believe that there are tons of looks, archetypes and ways to be beautiful and attractive, but thatās just a little context to assuage any concerns from anyone who thinks weāre ever making any decisions based on external pressures related to any kind of agenda.
After Friday, May 18th, 2018 existing backers will also no longer be able to change the platform for which you have ordered/pledged your copy of Bloodstained or the side-story mini-game, so please finalize your platform selection soon! (The reward survey previously didnāt contain a platform-selection option for the side-story mini-game, so even if youāre all set with your reward survey you havenāt filled one out yet!
Iād also like to update you on the retro mini-game. There have been some changes from the time we started the Kickstarter campaign; originally, the mini-game was supposed to be a story that took place 10 years prior to the main game, but weāve decided to have it take place in a different part of the lore.
The story for the mini-game was developed based on the world of Bloodstained, but it should be enjoyed separately as a spin-off rather than a prequel story. We will have more details very soon, so please look forward to it. [Fangamer note: Mini-game platforms are now unlocked in eligible reward surveys! Please choose your platform as soon as possible.]
Inti Creates about to knock one out of the park again. I wasnāt following the Bloodstained kickstarter that closely, so I didnāt know an 8-bit game was happening. And itās based off of CV3? Sold.
Iām in the same boat. My gut feeling is Bloodstained is going to turn out like Mighty No.9. But this Curse of the Moon CV3 style game looks great as is!
If they created this game as a separate kickstarter, they would have made a lot of money on it, because IMO itās looking more solid than what Iāve seen with Ritual of the Night.
