BLOODSTAINED: RITUAL OF THE NIGHT aka the Spiritual successor of Symphony of the Night

No, more like an example of a Kickstarter that has many parallels to MN9 and is now being delayed, just like MN9 was. Oh, but people were ok with Inafune taking as long as he wants to make the most amazing MM game, evar.

Wrong on two counts. Not ass, original. Not forward, backwards. Gitgud.

With that written, even with all my skepticism, the above does not mean it will be the same. I just think people need to be skeptical considering both dudes were producers who claimed the companies they worked for were screwing them in the ass, both dudes got millions through crowd funding to make the best evar version of x game, and both dudes are working with the same development team(s). Perhaps Iga has more integrity, perhaps not. Only time will tell.

I’m simply pointing out that all thelse games have faced delays.

Like the other two I’ll wait till it’s coming out before I decide.

Yeah, most of them do. That’s a regular thing in game development even outside of crowd sourced games. Games get pushed back, it happens. No reason to get concerned, yet.

Iga will probably end up giving y’all another demo just to keep the hope alive. If he was smart he would use that other character but I am not sure if they are playable.

I know this is normal, I’m simply pointing out the trend in these particular cases as people seem to have forgotten that NMS faced quite a few delays.

I missed that one, but it is a most valid point from what I’ve heard. The angry videogame nerd will be happy to see that one though.

If they were getting death threats before, I’d hate to think what they’re getting now.

-Starhammer-

uh, obituaries?

regardless of the delay and any future delays, the E3 demo shows a really good direction the game is going to.
some fans complained it looked and felt too ā€œsimilarā€ to SotN but as an old school gamer, i’m on board.

fingers crossed, it comes out while iga is still alive lololol

The delay is disappointing.

(Lol at The Martian with the stealth drive-by disagree when he does not even in this thread. He is almost as sad as ShogunZ.)

Also late on this front, but thanks for the clarification, Moonchilde. This is why I try not to speak for other people.

That said, I think people are more cautious about Kickstarters in general after the failure of Mighty No. 9, so I do not think that Iga is exempt as you are implying. It is just that Iga has already been far more transparent, at least as far as I am aware, about the progress and delays than Inafune was with that game. If the game gets delayed again for vague reasons, then I can understand going ā€œuh ohā€, but right now Iga still comes off as actually trustworthy beyond just his name in gaming.

Money from the people they bilked? Even as massively disappointing as that game seems and SONY and Steam understandably trying to cover their own asses, I do not imagine everyone who got scammed with the game bothered to refund it, so Hello Games might have still made a profit even if Hello Games’s name is now a toxic dumpster fire and that studio is effectively dead already most likely.

This week Michiru Yamane is here to show off some new music and tell us a little about the process behind each new track.

More music from Yamane, fuck yeah
I’m very late but I also realised recently she did a lot of the music for Skullgirls too. No wonder that game has great BGM.

505 Games will take publishing duties for Bloodstained…

505 Games published Pay Day 2 which Jimquisition tore a new one for it’s mictro transactions

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1lQ9g518cg

505 Also published Adr1ft…the game created by Adam Orth

ok

well the game has more content and features than multiple IGAvanias combined

Wii U port despite being a promised stretch goal might be canceled in favor of NX port.

https://www.destructoid.com/igarashi-doesn-t-sound-confident-about-a-wii-u-port-of-bloodstained-391369.

I’d be very disappointed in Igarashi if he failed to deliver the promised PSV port.

I didn’t know that it was coming to Vita. I did see the picture in the first post and it showed the goal for a Vita port. It wasn’t crossed out and marked ā€œfundedā€ like most of the other shit. I’d love to play this on the Vita.

505 is also publishing Indivisible. If it’s good enough for MikeZ it’s good enough for IGA.

From what I heard, the microtransactions were not planned by 505 games but the developer.
