Logarius is one of the tougher boss fights, but he’s more of a “figure it out” boss than “hard to execute” boss.
I had more trouble with his second phase, but that’s because I never [details=Spoiler]backstabbed him when he charged that phase. Which is really easy to do, and keeps him vulnerable to counters.[/details]
Just like a lot of bosses and enemies in this game, he rewards smart aggression. Same goes for his projectile-spewing stick during the second phase. My first instinct was to get a tower between myself and the projectile stick, fight him there. Gotta always consider if attacking something is going to help
This is so true for Abhorrent Beast in the Chalice Dungeon. Once I figured out the safe way to stay on his ass it got much easier but he would still kill me from time to time if I wasnt paying attention to the subtle cues.
My problems with Logarius was that he would cheese the hell outta me with the shotgun skull bs. I was treating that fight like street fighter and just punishing his mistakes: the disperse skull attack the melee shit and the big skull he would form when putting his staff in the ground. It wasnt a hard fight and thats what pissed me off. a lot of the time id just die to his hitboxes being absolutely ridiculous through the pillars on the roof top in the area and him slashing through em. First boss where i was like K. Lemme walk away and come back tomorrow or something before I throw this controller lol
What you want to do is stay close to him, take one or two swings whatever you’re comfortable with, and then dodge diagonally left towards him. That way you’ll always chase his backdashes and literally every skull summon and explosion he has will whiff. That makes the first phase pretty trivial, or at least a ton easier.
Aaaahhhh. Had some more time to play Bloodborne. Took down a wet nurse with no nipples I could see, a bobble head and a big slug. Surprisingly, Ebrietas wasn’t too difficult. I thought she’d kick my ass, yet I almost killed her on my first shot. For me, the key was similar to the One Reborn: staying close and quick dodging around their side to get behind. Then, take a couple swipes, more if the enemy just whiffed, and repeat. This game is all about smart aggression. During my playthrough of those three bosses I only died twice. Once to Ebrietas and once to a mother fucking mind sucker. The bastard did a combo on me. Got grabbed, did the spell to lock me in place on wake up, got grabbed, etc.
Edit: Can’t wait to finish this run. I really want to try a cannon - strength weapon build next.
Edit 2: God dammit Doll! How many times did I tell you not to play with the fireplace.
Been awhile since i edited videos. PS4 certainly has me spoiled with that share-button.
So here’s something i made just a moment ago… If it makes you lol , good for u!
Beat Bloodborne and took down both bosses in one shot. Afterwards, I realized I thought my chance was so low of winning, I didn’t get the damn blood rock. Well, there goes my +10 Blades of Mercy.
