I’m currently trying to quickly build a Bloodtinge/Skill character to see how effective and fun Bloodtinge can be. My main experimental weapons for the build when it comes to guns will be the Evelyn and the Repeating Pistol, if I can manage to get through the Witch of Hemwick today anyway, I really should give my brother back his PS4 soon lol.
Depending on how high you bring BT up, Evelyn will just be by far the best. I think at middle levels the Repeater can out damage both pistols, but it still uses two bullets, so yeah.
Also, consider that the Chikage katana is the only weapon in the game that scales with BT in any significant way so if you do a SKL/BT build, 25/50 is pretty limiting, but 50/25 might helps for Reiterpallasch and Rifle Spear, but at 25 BT both the regular pistol and the Repeater will out damage Evelyn. Plus, since RP and RS gun damage can be buffed with paper items and gems, you kind of don’t need BT for them at all
Evelyn gets S scaling after like +8 or +9 (don’t remember which) and is , as far as i know , the only firearm that gets a S scaling.
Just putting that out there in case anyone wasn’t aware of this already.
I have an idea for another a build with 30 str and 50 bt for use with the cannon + marrow ash.
effectively making it…a…glass cannon as there won’t be much , if any , points spent on vit/end/skl/etc.
1 shot 1 kill or 1 shot missed and you get killed. high risk & high reward , etc.
Will probably get around to it at some point. Still having too much fun on my most recent BT build.
Just invading people in nightmare of mensis and hitting them for 200+ dmg everytime i shoot a regular bullet makes me feel like such an asshole,
i kinda love it tho.
Killed those hooded bastards. One visceral attack takes of 50% health.
o that fucking bitch
Have you guys ever noticed that when you eat Insight, that cloud of essence that appears over your head looks like you’re peeking into a glimpse of the cosmos? It’s almost if you can see a bunch of stars and nebulas in it for a split second.
I wonder, if for just that moment, you’re peering into the diemension that The Great Ones came from. At the same time, I wonder if Inisght is simply an energy that allows you to perceive reality as the Great Ones do themselves. It would explain stuff like why you can eventually see them just hanging off the buildings throughout Yharnam and why you can hear the Reborn One actually talking to you during his boss fight.
It’s the essence of their species gifted down to humanity. Maybe a human’s capability to absorb Insight, or “Eldritch Wisdom” as the game calls it, is their way to test and see if the vessel is strong enough to procreate for their species. When the vessel fails, the end result is Madman’s Knowledge. The picture even looks like one of the slugs literally lives inside your brain:
Re: Evelyn build, you’d think that the long-range rifle/pistol (I forget its name) would complement the Evelyn better? Learn the ranges, and when they get out of Evelyn range, you marrow up a sniper bullet to keep harassing them. Weaker, but still a fun mindgame.

I showed that bitch Iosefka my cane
oh no, what have I done?
There’s also the fact that strange whispering can be heard when you gain it as well. Some people think that’s supposed to be Oedon’s voice. And yeah I think you’re right on the money, and apparently that’s in line with Lovecraftian style lore too, where the knowledge is that these things already existed and had been around long before, not that they’re like freakin ugly or whatever, though they are lol.
Only thing I would say to that is it only seems to actually happen to females. Like literally several females in the game actually get pregnant and not from a human surrogate, it just HAPPENS, but nothing happens to the male characters aside from the ones that are already nuts.
Though, I don’t really have any theories as to what Madman’s Knowledge actually is and why you can “use” it

Old Gods just wanted babies since they can’t make em proper but you never know why the Moon Essence made you kill gods or why you can replace her if you kill her.
More insight just means you can see more shit/plain and simple which is why most of the later levels have ppl wearing bandages to hide from the shit they see. Sanity levels too low. Nyaruko-san lulz.
This seems like an extreme oversimplification of what Insight really is.
If you’re thinking of Ludwig’s Rifle, it’s just a longer range Blunderbuss, not an actual rifle. Pistol bullet range isn’t really that small that it would justify needing it for that reason.
Got to last Chalice Dungeon and last Boss of Chalice.
Not sure if anybody is aware, but you can actually summon Gasgoine into your world as a phantom before his fight, right next to the second lamp of the game. Pretty neat, IMO.
I knew about the Cleric Beast fight in NG+, but I didn’t know you could summon him for his own fight lol.
You guys know that you can summon Alfred for the bloodstarved fight too , right?
So I made a video review for Bloodborne:

If you guys have any critiques, like “HOLY SHIT THIS IS TOO LONG” or “shit you sound boring” or whatever else, please let me know. I want to continue doing this for other games and also non-review general game topics as well
@Gasaraki
loved it ! GJ kind sir !
Dunno about shortening it down , because how much of a “analytical” review would it be if you made a 10 minute tops review?
This is pretty unique and i don’t know anyone who does these kinds of reviews really. So i would say just GO with it.
Also i loled when i saw that you were charging up the yolo stake driver VS the npc guy. You got some big brass ballz !
You can summon Gascgoin at the lamp or the square where the big guy with the brick is banging on the door.
If you kill Gascgoin before the Cleric Beast then Alfreds summon will replace his at the lamp.
