Read the item description, it’s not his, but an apprentice of his.
Yea I did read it, but I’m not buyin what that description is sellin. I’ll give it another read tho to see the tone, but I feel like the bone was in possession of the apprentice, but is in fact Gerhmans bone.
That’s my feeling on it at the moment.
Only thing I have a Theory on right now lol.
That technique is one that the First Hunters used. Gerhman’s Apprentice used the technique, as well as the other original Hunters, from what it seems. There’s another insanely powerful Hunter you can fight who uses the technique, and the appearance is exactly the same as The Old Hunter bone. Gerhman, on the other hand, has a different appearance when he uses the technique.
After scrapping TWO whole characters i was working on , i finally end up with a build i’m really pleased with.
I present to you my Strength build :
Spoiler
And ofcourse the character in action :
I applaud you @ExposedD ! I gave up on making Logarius wheel work in pvp, but it’s really cool to see you managed to win some gank battles with it.
transformed side dash R1, is by far my favorite attack with its absurb hitboxes, but the transformed dmg leaves something to be desired imo.
Atm, my beloved 2 main weapons are Hunter’s Axe and Stake Driver. trying to force beast claw to work as well (at least in pve with rapid poison) but no success there.
i actually had some more gank spanks with the wheel but those fights took a loooooong time , so i didn’t bother putting those up.
first of all though…thank you ! lol ! i can’t tell yet if the wheel is underrated or not , but it’s an awesome STR weapon forsure and i like it alot.
The hitboxes and the REACH <- probably what makes this weapon work in PVP , and the massive damage too , ofcourse.
I can’t say much about Hunter’s axe since i have yet to fully dive into that weapon.
Stake driver though…Helll yehhhhz ! My very first char is a stake driver , and i had alot of success pvping with it too.
Posted this way back , check it out if you want a good laugh
That’s why I think it’s his. He’s the real deal, everyone else is bumming off his left overs, which why their version (our version) is no where near as powerful. I think it makes enough sense to not out right dismiss. Gerhman’s the only one we see use actual quickening, every one else is using the Bone, like the guy in the Grand Cathedral. Gerhman’s missing a foot for some reason, and we find a bone that lets us tap into Quickening in his old abandoned work shop.
Yea, that theory holds a lot of water. The only thing keeping me from fully accepting it, all things considered, is that the item description says a few key things:
“…he was an apprentice to old Gehrman…”
"…a practitioner of the art of Quickening, a technique particular to the first hunters…"
"…tease an old art from his remains."
These lead me to believe that it belonged to another Hunter, there were multiple users of the technique, and whoever it belonged to is dead. It doesn’t even vaguely suggest that it’s Gehrman’s. However…
The Hunter’s Dream is much like the Nexus in that your soul is tied to it. As long as that’s the case, you cannot die. When you go to the Old Abandoned Workshop, the source of the Dream, you find things like the Doll, the wheelchair, and that bone. My other theory is that Gerhman is dead, but his soul is still tied to the Dream, which is why he wants it to end…so he can rest. This is supported by the fact that Gehrman disappears when you attack him. He doesn’t complain or bleed… He just straight up vanishes. He exists only in ethereal form in the Hunter’s Dream. The only questions I have are in regards to why his grave would be right there and why you only find that femur. You’d think he’d get a more meaningfully placed grave… Finding his “missing leg” suggests he’s alive, but everything else suggests he’s dead. Did he die and only his leg was able to be recovered? Did he lose his leg, recover it, then bury it? Why? Idk…lol

snip
Yeah, that’s some real bullshit lol
Hopefully that gets patched out, there’s no way that wasn’t an oversight
I like the optimized build for it.
99 vit, base everything else.
I use the rifle spear as my main weapon. I’m itching for some PVP right now.
Ran into a hunter that uses the rifle spear around the Cathedral Ward sigh. I ran away.
I killed Amelia. If you cut her face and her wrists, she will be staggered.

Her hind legs as well.
She’s the easiest boss in the game imo.
This fight was exhilarating. Her range and speed made it so that Infighting was the best option rather than zoning/pacing and what not. Slashing, dodging, trading hits, it was there that you just had to fight and be aggressive like you really want to kill her rather than having a methodical plan where you play footsies and stuff.
I’m hoping people don’t think I mean shes bad just because she’s easy, I really liked her fights both times I did them, but she never once felt like a threat to me, she hasn’t managed to kill me yet (maybe NG+) I just don;t think she’s dangerous. She’s still a lot of fun, a great fun boss to fight, just easy.
Who do you guys think is the easiest? I’d be willing to except Micolash. He’s kind of a joke. He did kill me the first time, but yea.
The Wet Nurse is one of my favorites for pretty much all the reasons Tekno listed for Amelia. That fight was really fun, and that boss is super cool.

What weapons did you use? I found her pretty hard. Not like HARD in the way fighting Gascoigne was the first time, but like on NG+ for example, I would say Gascoigne is easy but Vicar Amelia is hard.
Also I think event style bosses should be excluded from talking about “easy” bosses since they aren’t supposed to be difficult. Micolash and Celestial Emissary come to mind.
See, for me Wet Nurse was pretty easy. I think I beat her on the 3rd try but I never really got that stress feeling even.
I think Amelia is easier if you’re using heavier weapons since you can stun her easier and/or in some cases get much more health back from rallies(hunter’s axe), and I think Wet Nurse was pretty easy because I was using Blade of Mercy.
BSB isn’t hard once you get it but he always gives me trouble and he always makes me get that stress in his 3rd phase lol
And no I don’t think you don’t like the fight. I think Gascoigne is easy now, but I still really like fighting him.
I died to the Wet Nurse 4 times, but every time she started summoning the clone I got the sweats cuz every time she killed me it was cuz of the Clone. It could catch me off or something and the combination of both of them was getting me killed. That’s why I just stopped going on the offense when she summoned the clone, it was getting me killed so I found it better to wait it out. Still had to stay on my toes tho.
Blood Starved Beast has that damn Poison Assist, that shit can be a fuckin problem lol.

This guy… Talks about handling hoes with his “pimp cane,” but got worked by a church girl.
