Go check up on the softcaps, and you wanna work your level around 90-110 to adhere to the current meta going around.
Uh…apart from that, I’d probably only go around 25-30 in Skill and pump Bloodtinge for the Chikage, that transformed state is ridiculously powerful at stunlocking and killing quickly.
Chikage builds are kind of one note because it scales way better off of blood. Basically just raise your Vit and Blood only and raise skill to the minimum. This will make your trick mode with that weapon really freaking powerful but you won’t have versatility. You’ll basically have Chikage and Evelyn, and that’s it. You can hybridize it a bit by increasing Skill, you just won’t be doing as much damage with anything. Still, the biggest damage boosts are from gems so it’s not necessarily a bad decision, just depends on what you want
I was trying to be careful. All I heard was a branch snap, but I didn’t know which direction the danger was coming from, panicked, and dove the wrong way lol.
Just like DkS the interconnectivity in this game always gives me that “damn, that’s cool” moment. Even when I’m expecting it like when climbing the long MGS3 style ladder in Blighttown part 2.
I actually missed the entire thing, I took a left through the village and took the rooftop route and completely skipped on it. After clearing the town out completely I accidentally walked into it but there were no enemies to cause me any issues. If I hadn’t healed before exploring the village however I would have gotten bodied so hard by gravity and those undead crows.
I watched my kid brother play yesterday and one of the messages was, “Beware. Strong monster.” It was some cloaked bird-faced guy that died in two hits wtf?
beat the game and got the secret ending i guess it’s worth it?
idk game was still really fun the second time through, obviously not as magical or frustrating.
You could’ve used a Bold Hunter’s Mark to get out of there, just for future reference. After you beat the game you’re stuck carrying about 300k Echoes into NG+ until you reach the Cleric Beast, so once I found him I warped out to make sure I didn’t lose all that XP.
[details=Spoiler]In regards to the Moon Presence itself, I actually found it to be one of the easier fights in the game. It’s comparable to the Blood Starved Beast fight except for the fact that you have a much wider arena to fight in and that the Moon Presence is probably a tad bit slower. A lot of his moves are really telegraphed and although most of them have obnoxious range, it isn’t hard at all to roll out of most of them. Just have some patience and pace yourself. Only go for one hit at a time if you have to and stick to going on the offensive only when you know he can’t strike back in time. Weapons with a long hitbox (like the rifle spear) tend to be helpful as well.
Honestly, I’m surprised you’re having more trouble with it than you did Gerhman. It took me at least a score of tries before being able to down that bastard. Both of those fights are an absolute blast to play, though.[/details]
