Thats probably the only part of the game I dont really understand. Any one feel like explaining how chalice dungeons work? I’m on Ng+ I’ve probably done like 3-4 dungeons but I just randomly go up to it and start it and finish it and move on. I wanna get that platinum so I’m probably gonna need to know this stuff. I shouldve done this shit a lot sooner lol

Lady Maria was fucking awesome. What great boss fight. I made it to Kos Abandonded Orphan i think his name was. Fuckin gross ass boss. He stomped my ass so I called it a night. That dude with the antlers who invades you. Yea fuck that guy lol. He totally cornered me in the caves down in the “mines” with the “snails.” Them fuckin things are fuckin nasty by the way lol.

Chalices that don’t have the word “root” in them, AKA non-root chalices, are progression chalices. Those are the ones you need to do to unlock and encounter everything. You need to do all of the Pthumerian chalices and the first Ailing Loran chalice that you get from Amygdala to get to the last trophies. When you explore a dungeon, make sure to check every corner so you don’t miss any materials to make the next dungeon. If you want more details I suggest looking for tuts or on the fextralife wiki, there’s plenty of info out there
FRC chalice dungeons are actually pretty fun, especially if you co-op. It’s kinda fun to see what kind of bullshit you get… until you run into something like an Undead Giant boss. Hahaha.

How do I get to depth 4 of the Pthumerian Chalice Dungeon? I beat Depth 3 but I don’t have the materials for depth 4… Do I just go back and run around the previous levels until I find them?
Bastard of Loran is found in the Loran chalices, so as I said, kill Amygdala to get it, then you need coldblood flowerbuds. You can get those in story areas, but I forget where, just look it up in the fextralife wiki. If you’re ever missing materials, just check the wiki on how to get more.
Generally just check everywhere when going through a CD, make sure to pick up CD materials and kill the optional bosses in main game.

Footage of Old Hunters (first boss) defeating Evilj, and never to be seen again due to rage quit file delete. If you fast forward to the end, you will see that the last hit didn’t even hit me but the hit box registered it. But I suggest you watch the heart break from beginning to end.
This was my first time using NPC help too. I admit I’m not the best DS player.
Hit boxes on most large bosses are a little wonky. I think if the hit boxes were perfectly aligned, you could just stand next to the boss without most of his attacks hitting you, which would be too easy. Aside from that…
