You have to face a boss I think, and no matter the outcome the option will appear next time you return to Hunter’s dream(i won’t say but it’s very obvious when u return). I ran around for hours exploring trying to figure it out, also tried dying to see if it triggered with 2nd character earlier and it didn’t.
Damn. Still haven’t found the boss. Currently stuck near the area past the second Hunter’s Dream spot (up the ladder). I keep dying to either the big guy trying to break down the door or the two large beasts (the ones that look like the one from the start) past him.
Lantarns sure ain’t plentiful like how bonfires were in DaS2. Instead you unlock shortcuts to get to Lanterns you’ve already lit. More like DaS1 that way. Though I wish I didn’t have to go to Hunter’s Dream to teleport between them.
That’s good to hear. Maybe you get to fast travel between lanterns later on, like how you get the Lord Vessel in DaS1. It feels like more of a privilage that way. Like I earned the right to fast travel. Dark Souls II ruined that entire sense of pacing. It’s good it hear that same world interconnectivity is there, along with having to know the map and the shortcuts rather than just being able to warp all over the place from the get go.
You’re close, just past those dogs. Just target one and shoot him to draw his attention and back up Dodge their attacks they have huge start up, but if u bulldog too much they rage pummel you. Pretty sure locked on sidesteps are invul too.
Nop, You just fast travel from the Hunter’s Dream to whatever lamp is active as soon as you light it
I wished there was one other lantern in the Grand Cathedral. The place is huge and exploring it has been eating up a lot of my time. I haven’t even encounter the boss yet.
I found the Cathedral boss and I haven’t found an effective way to beat her. I’m sure her weakness is her hand that she grips her locket with. She gets stunned whenever I land a huge hit on that hand. Using a Dex build btw.
oh FYI too, Gamestop is doing a deal atm where you can trade in a 250gb 360 or a 120gb PS3 and get $175 credit towards a new PS4. I took in 2 360s and got a PS4 for around $50 before tax
