Hey, has a password been discussed in this thread yet? Like if the hunters of SRK want to team up or something?
Also, I tried to make young Gene Wilder. He looks a bit like Gene Wilder with a touch of Bill Nye and doctor who. Making celebrities are haaaaard. Iâll load up the recipe when Iâm feeling more ambitious.
I enjoy Lovecraft, so i get what the developers were going for, and they nailed it. By saying that I liked DS2, I did not mean to imply that I didnât enjoy Blood bornâs story. I actually agree with all of your points, and I enjoyed the story as a whole. I guess what I was trying to imply was that I felt that the characters were much stronger in DS2, and in BB, the characters seem to take a step back and let the world take center stage. Thatâs not my favorite type of story but again, I liked them both.
Having said that, I am getting more out of the story on my second play through.
Haha, I donât think I need âthatâ much help with the story, but Iâll check it out later. Thanks.
In addition to that, itâs obvious when heâs basing it on info in the game since he sources just about everything, and just as obvious when heâs speculating or interpreting
Anyone who actually thought Tomb Raider looked better than Bloodborne is delusional. Not to mention the processor that rendered the open world of bloodborne with no load times fucking DEMOLISHES tomb raider and their loaded âroomsâ format. How hard is it to design rocks and trees and uninspired urban architecture compared to the lush decor of BB.
Like give me a friggin break do you guys read over some of the stuff you post before you click post comment?
Anyways. PizzaCutter is OP. 4k off one swing on stunlocked bosses is LULZ. DLC is still raping people on twitch im getting a kick out of people going from complete excitement to on the verge of tears fighting Kos.
Kos was such an amazing fight. It took me a few hours to beat him but it was incredibly exciting. He really feels like he tests everything you know about how to play Bloodborne.
So I managed to get my first character to the DLC portion and I must say I am doing much better using the Ludwig than using the Hunterâs Axe because the Two handed Ludwig actually stuns some of these hunters roaming around. I can do single swipes and let my stamina recover and basically kill them without having to dodge or go for a visceral.
I guess it doesnât hurt that in general my stats are higher on a level 110 character versus a level 80 character.
The only question is if I should use of the new DLC weapons or continue on with my old equipment to beat the rest of the area and the first boss. In my other file, I started using the pizza cutter/whirlgig saw and it doesnât seem too bad.
Got an error today. During the play station maintenance it says that it canât find the DLC unlock code and I need to download it again. It appears at the offline/online screen. While I think I can fix it when PSN comes back online I was wondering if anyone had the same problem and how to fix it. I hope my game isnât online only now that I downloaded the DLC.
Haha, Iâm going to get that weapon to ten ASAP!
Iâm currently on the boss with my Kirkhammer. I think my +!0 Kirkhammer has higher DPS than my +7 whirly saw, so Iâm fighting it with that. I guess go with whatever youâre more comfortable with.
I love Ludwigs Blade. Best weapon in the game imo, at least before dlc. I havenât gotten to try any of them yet, but the pizza cutter looks pretty sick.
Ludwigâs is great but I feel like itâs level of popularity is a little much. Saw Cleaver is easily as good if not better of a weapon, and then you have Threaded Cane and Beast Cutter for the ultimate in keep-away, etc. Imo thatâs the best thing about a smaller weapon selection. They get to spend more time fleshing each one out, so they all end up pretty awesome.
Saw Cleaver is probably the best weapon in the game in terms of overall balance for early game. Itâs fast, has good hitboxes, bonus damage against beasts, and causes decent amount of stagger for the earlier enemies. Itâs offset by the fact that it lacks reach, crowd control, and scales poorly with stats. Ludwigâs Holy Blade is probably the best [vanilla] overall weapon in terms of PvE due to its very useful moveset, both thrust/blunt damage, and pretty good scaling if you go for a quality build. That said, any weapon is viable; just gotta git gud.
Anyways, finished the DLC Wednesday night from start to finish. Took about 8-9 hours (not exactly sure since I took a dinner break). Finally had time to post about it now.
[details=Spoiler]The DLC is absolutely amazing. The Hunterâs Nightmare (the entire thing) is an amazingly done zone. The way it flows feels unnatural, but at the same time, it feels natural due to the nature of a nightmare. All of the new weapons are cool as fuck. I need to explore more of them. The new character I made for the DLC ended up using the Whirligig Saw (WHAT A NAME LOL). The fight with Ludwig did not disappoint at all. I absolutely LOVED how he was a mindless beast until phase two where he is essentially âreunitedâ with the Moonlight Blade and regains his consciousness. The way the music seamlessly transitions from the cutscene and into the second phase of the fight is so fucking cool and gave me goosebumps. FromSoft really outdid themselves with this boss. Living Failures was whatever but it felt more like a precursor to the real boss ala Celestial Emissary to Ebrietas. Lady Maria is probably my favorite boss in the DLC. The second and third phases of the fight are fucking awesome with blood and fire everywhere. Also, whenâs rule 34 of Lady Maria? Orphan of Kos is a crazy ass boss too. Even though he was rather small in stature, the creature design was extremely well done. Although humanoid, his screeching and howling made you feel like you were fighting a rabid, angry beast. Laurence was cool but I felt like his fight was more of a fanservice fight since he was important to the gameâs lore, not necessarily meant to be super challenging or anything.
The most challenging part of the DLC is probably the two giant murlocs fish men to get Rakyou. Man⌠FUCK THOSE THINGS. Will have to use Shaman Bone Blade next time I roll through there on a different character.
Overall I felt the DLC makes the game complete. New weapons. New armor. New Hunter Tools. New enemies. New bosses. New everything. I loved it, despite getting frustrated with the challenge at times. I also loved how Fishing Hamlet felt straight out of Lovecraftian lore like it was Innsmouth. My only gripe about the DLC would be that it would have been nice if you could have grabbed some of the weapons earlier in the game like in the vanilla areas, but thatâs fine since the game throws a lot of Blood Stone Chunks and a Blood Rock at you so you can make a switch.[/details]
I use the saw cleaver as a back up weapon. Sometimes I load up my LHB with cursed gems that lower weapon durability so I like to have a decent weapon ready to go just in case. I donât think its ever done down to that though.
I love Ludwigs blade naturally gravitated towards it and never looked bad now that I have moonlight sword Iâm going between those two. Itâs just too good I mix in the tonitrus as well. Best Ludwig today and made it to the next boss with the like Cosmo attacks and shit. Dlc is fucking amazing
Iâve been fighting Ludwig for an hour now and Iâve gotten him down to 30 percent so many times and then I just die. Iâve just deleted both of my files for my sanity. At this point, even if I win, there will be no sense of satisfaction.
Iâm choosing ending 1âŚI will awaken in the real world and forget this nightmare ever happened.
Nigga, in the Dark Souls thread people had the basic common courtesy to use spoiler tags weeks after DSII and the DLCâs released. Itâs such a simple premise itâs not even funny. Iâm not going to avoid the entire thread just because you guys canât use a simple forum function not even for ONE WEEK after new content releases.
