Bloodborne thread

They were level 75 but the demo was specifically created for the showroom floor, so other than showing off a bit of the DLC, I wouldn’t take that number as being a tell for the level range. We’ll have to see though.

Not exactly. Enemies DO get stronger in general with summons in your game, but the main thing it’s that you have lower max health as a summon.

He’s even worse on NG+ though…

In co-op, two players can just spam light attacks on Micolash and it’s pretty free. It’s important to note that while bosses don’t do more damage in co-op, cooperators have less life and bosses have 1.5 times more life with one cooperator, and 2 times more life with two cooperators.

Oh I thought they did get damage buffs too. One thing to consider about micolash though is that if you have a bit of a laggy connection, its possible for him to cast Augur before hitstun catches up, and that can kill you if you either have low VIT or are on ng+

Basically, if you have a slower weapon, only combo if the other player is also attacking. If you have a fast weapon, just make sure to leave yourself some stamina to dodge to a side

Finallyyyy got my +10 Cane and my +9 Evelyn. I can actually kill those Nazgul guys in three shots. Obligatory CvS2 reference:

This Defiled Pthumerian CD suuuucks. Wouldn’t be nearly as bad if not for the health decrease. But I’m almost there.

Not a problem! If anyone else saved their character’s presets, I’d like to see them. My brother made Ryan Gosling, so I’ll have to get him to share that with me.

Juuuuust got to cainhurst. I feel another photo shoot coming on!

Yea, I’m a bit bummed that Bloodborn has fewer armors than Dark Souls 2, but I like that all of their color palates are so similar. Most stuff can be mixed and matched without looking like a fashion faux pas.

If you don’t like uploading them onto a USB, you can always share them to a bogus facebook account.

I do like how you made Alice and Beatrix’s face. And Sylvia’s outfit looks SO DAMN FANCYYYYY!

EDIT: I haven’t beaten the main game yet, so I probably won’t get the DLC right away. However, I am interested in seeing what kind of fashionable opportunities the expansion will give us.

Oh boy just wait until you start doing Fetid Rotten Cursed chalices. Some of the rooms you spawn can be tougher than bosses. Enemies can straight up kill you in one hit even with 50 vit. The other day I made a chalice dungeon in which the entrance to the lever room was a bridge with four pendulums, and inside the room was about eight spiders, a Beast Claw Hunter, and a Mad Man. Getting one shot by an Undead Giant in a FRC dungeon is always fun too.

I am of the same opinion. The variety may not be massive but a lot of it works really well in a lot of ways. Quality over quantity and all that. Even Gold Ardeo actually doesn’t look out of place, it certainly fits a fanatical look.

Hmm, true, good advice.

Yeah the order I made them in was Beatrix, Sylvia, and Alice last. Liking at it more there are still some things I would change about Beatrix because in certain lights her face sorta looks like a skeleton lol. I think her eyes are just a taaaad to big also.

The other two I am 99% satisfied with.

Well the DLC looks to take place halfway through the game so it doesn’t make much sense to wait. Unless you’re just not sure you like the game enough yet to spend the money.

NIGHTMARE SLAIN on first try.

Whip made it so I can footsie and finished her off with pew pew since my bloodtinge is high.

Doubt this will help anyone here but if you know someone looking for a copy:

Bloodborne will be 20 dollars at GameStop Tuesday and Wednesday only and 20 dollars at most all other major retailers on black Friday.

Once I beat the final boss, I have to move to NG+ or can I go back and do other stuff afterwards?

I’ve been playing my brother’s copy. Might just pick up my own. Thanks!

  1. Oh, like her eyes are really sunken in? Haha. I don’t think her eyes look too big, but I typically make the eyes as big as I can, so long as it doesn’t look silly. Anime, FTW!

2)I just find that expansions have a greater effect once you’ve played the vanilla game for a bit. If I had been playing this game for weeks/months and thought I saw most of it, the expansion would add more life to the game, giving me reason to create new characters and play the game differently. If I started playing the game the day of the expansion with everything installed, the expansion wouldn’t feel special to me. It would just be a part of the game. That’s been my experience with expansion packs anyway.

…But you can scratch that if the game in question gets a lot of multiplayer elements from the expansion. If playing with my buddies is important, then I typically do buy it ASAP.

Haven’t read the past pages but this link has info on how to access the DLC content in game once you purchase it.

Beating your final boss sends you to NG+.

Talking to Gehrman without using three Umbilical Cords will either give you an ending immediately or trigger a fight with him, depending on a choice you’ll make. Talking to him after using three Umbilical Cords triggers a fight but also unlocks the real final boss of the game, whom you fight immediately afterward.

Are there things I ought to do before saving Gehrman?

Have you fought Amygdala? Ebreitas? Finished Elieen and Alfreds side quests? Gone to Cainhurst? Gotten the three One Third Umbilical Cord items (there are four in the game but you only need three)? Did you find the Blood Rock in the Nightmare of Mensis?

Trying to think of the biggest things that are missable. Those are the biggest ones I can think of offhand.

I don’t know why I couldn’t help Eileen fight that guy. She kept saying don’t go to Oedon’s tomb and (I forgot to go) then I think she killed him by herself and had to kill her T__T. I’ve killed everything and everyone thus far. I do need to get a second Blood Rock and my understanding is that it’s in the fifth Pthumerian Chalice dungeon, in the last layer? I’m on the third Pthumerian Chalice, layer three and for some reason, the enemies there deal me a lot of damage even though I’m level 120. Maybe it’s because they deal blood damage instead of physical?

Yeah, she always tells you not to go, you’re supposed to go anyway.

Any other blood rocks aside from the one in Nightmare of Mensis are in Root Chalice Dungeons, so you’ll have to go out of your way for those, but CD progress doesn’t reset every NG so you don’t HAVE to do that now.

Every depth you go down, the enemies get way higher in level. Depth 3 is like late game NG, Depth 4 is like NG+, and Depth 5 is like NG+ to NG++. Has less to do with damage types than their levels.

Yeah, I get that too, I just want to make them look more (normal-ish)human overall

I can see your point, but on that same token that’s actually why I’d prefer to have it all at once. Especially since DLC in Souls games has always felt like just more “episodes” in the middle.

Wow, there is SO much new cool stuff that isn’t just weapons in the DLC.
