D.Va does get annoying to kill as Winston and Pharah imo. Just because of how armor works, where it reduces damage by a flat 5 damage per hit, it makes the beam on Winston take a really long time to take her down while being unable to headshot her at all, so in a straight duel she would win, but you should be doing something more productive as Winston in that case. As Pharah, if she is close enough her shield (which she can stick right into Pharah’s face by looking at her) and her dashing at you can make landing rocket on her without hurting yourself as hassle, since she has a faster cooldown on flight than Pharah and the E for some reason doesn’t knock D.Va back too far, but other than that if you are far enough, landing rockets isn’t too bad, though be mindful of D.Va before ulting as Pharah since it gets eaten up.

Roadhog does have some potential for competitive use later down the line, at the very least he’s quite dangerous at his effective range at the moment and the hook has plenty of reach, however the fact that he’s such a easy character to build meter on from a distance does hinder it a LOT.

It’ll take some changes or a severe meta change but he’ll come around in time.

Yeah it’s been noted once that D.va happens to have a good matchup vs Winston for the reasons you stated. As pharah it’s not bad at all for the most part, a nuisance at worst.

I don’treally know how to address Roadhog, it just always seems like his gun spread just always lacking. and that his healing just aint enough,

Yeah as Mei I’m pretty much always laughing off a D,va 1v1 encounter. D’va just can’t hang. and when she’s knocked out of the ship she might as well be dead. because continued hose pressure is an nearly an auto freeze. and then you just ice her in the head.

Yea it’s not bad, but it’s just one of those, “fuck, this is annoying” moments when she is close enough to you to dash or shield without hurting yourself with a rocket.

I wonder if they made D.Va able to shoot her laser pistol while in Mech mode would at least make her quite the threat at midrange, since it has no falloff damage and decent rate of fire. Though since the shotguns have such a huge damage falloff, it would probably be the go to gun for 90% of the time for D.Va unless she was really in their face, so this probably isn’t a balanced option. Making her able to shoot her shotgun while shield is up and while hovering would be nice too, it’s not like that would be overbearing to deal with, since they have a cooldown and the shotguns are close quarters anyways. Her headshot box is a problem, they could do something unique for her and make it on the back, since honestly when you think about it lore wise, you would have the goddamn cockpit as the most reinforced part rather than the weakest.

Diva and Roahogg are clearly lacking, but the real question is, how do we fix them?

For Roadhogg he either needs a way to do damage at range or some kind of mobility.

Diva needs…a lot.

His spread is fine, he has a low CD hook to cover the weaker ranges he has with his flak cannon primary and alt fire. Landing the majority of the flak does pretty high burst damage, though ammo/reload time is a issue. That’s definitely one thing that can be addressed.

They could practically go all out with the Flak Cannon inspiration and allow his projectiles to bounce off surfaces.

Perhaps there could be more to his healing ability, something along the lines of gaining armor for all the lost health healed through that ability, and slap on some buff mechanic that gives him better movement speed or somewhere along the lines, based on amount healed. Throw in some mechanic changes to the game like armor reducing the amount of ult meter given to your opponent if you get hit (passively buffs D.va in this way too).

Maybe even some fun utility options like have a alt fire option for the hook that allows you to pull team mates.

There’s a lot of ideas they can go for if they really wanted to make him more competitive and blizzard is definitely one to find ways to make a character blatantly overpowered, and they could easily make D.va retarded. Always count on blizzard for drastic balance changes.

Up her tackle and pulse cannon damage by 100% (they’re not shotguns, they’re short range miniguns…)

Tackle only does 25 damage, compared to Winston’s 50.

Really turn her into ED-209. Keep her extremely short range, but extremely high damage to compensate. MAKE squishies be afraid to be next to her.

Reduce the cooldown on D.Va’s barrier and rebalance her health/armor so that she can tank better, that or fix the dropoff and damage on her pulse and increase tackle damage so squishies are afraid to go toe to toe with her.

I think Roadhog could use some minor buffs to get him up to strength. Maybe increase his weapon magazine size from 4 to 6, which gives him a bit more damage uptime on team fights? One of his problems too is that his effective range is EXTREMELY POLARIZING. For example, his primary fire is extremely strong up close, but it falls off very heavily. His alternate fire can potentially one shot people if you can get the ball to explode on someone’s head, but that requires immaculate spacing. The damage fall off is very extreme for his alternate fire as well.

I agree that D.Va’s push damage from her boosters should do more damage. It’d at least make her a bit more threatening once she initiates on someone by themselves.

Anyone else feel like the capture points between A and B on Volskaya are way too close? I feel like depending an immediate push after losing A is pretty damn hard to defend against, especially if the pushing team has ults up and roll up as a full group right after taking point A.

Been clapping reapers upclose & turrents from afar with mercy who think they got an easy kill. Her pistol is no joke.

I feel ALOT more comfortable with widowmaker now that i upped the sensitivity to my mouse to asinine levels.

Why do ppl say Overwatch is not free to play? Sry, but I don’t get it. I mean for some MMORPGS like WoW you have to pay a monthly fee, but there is no actual monthly fee or extra $ you must for Overwatch after you bought this game right? I bought this game for 75$ and can play it online, so I don’t rly get why this game is not free to play. I mean it has pay to play DLC content, but this is sth every nowadays games has.
Also these lootboxes, all they give to you are new skins, colours etc? Or can you get new weapons, characters, stages and stuff?

There’s no subscription, like all games were once upon a time.

Free to play means you don’t buy the game at retail for $40 or so.

Its not free to play because you aren’t having to pay for stuff after the inital drop that enhances the game experience to give you a decided advantage

Warframe is FTP because you can literally buy stuff and become as good as some one who has grinded a long time to get stuff.

Aside from a few specific items which you can buy your way to be good enough to thrive In that environnent to get those items.

Overwatch is what it is
You get the game but there stuff you get is skins and other asthetics
Not things that give you a advantage on the field.

I’m glad that it isn’t FTP and its one of the reason me I brought the game because the game came as it is and its up to the community to enhance the experience.

You can buy all the stuff you want in warframe. That won’t substitute the skill and exp gained over someone who has. The gear is one thing exp is another.

There’s stuff also locked behind mastery rank that you can’t buy at level 1.

it was a misunderstanding from my side because I always thought pay2play means you have to keep paying $ in order to play online

loot boxes are cosmetic items only. Given that there are already a few hundred(probably over a thousand) of those, do you know how badly segregated the player pools would be if you got stages out of them? Matchmaking would have to be filtered into who has what maps and who doesnt. Much like the dedicated servers in Gears of War 3.

Why did you pay $75? I thought there was only the default version of the game, and then the collectors one with the 76 statue but I remember that being over $100

Also you can pay money for lootboxes. That’s probably why leveling up takes so long after level 20 or so.
