I bought tickets to the movie thing they’re doing, for me and my son. He’s only 6 but he loves overwatch, so it should be fun. Showing all the cinematics + dev panel, and then you get overwatch swag to boot.
I guess Bastion must have some serious MU thing because personally I’ve never felt like he’s been a huge problem. He’s like leggo. Homie gets broke up real bad and is only viable while sitting stationary in one location, how is this guy a problem?
He’s more annoying by himself but he’s manageable.
My salt towards him pops up when he has a good healer, a second turret(be it another Bastion or a Tjor), or a sniper perched around him.
Honestly thinking on it Tjor was way more of a pain in the ass because his turret had stupid range, auto-tracked perfectly with a 360 radius, aimed at you the second you hit them, did stupid damage with a good fire rate, and could be rebuilt almost as soon as they are destroyed.
At least with Bastion he has to stop firing if he want to self heal, with Tjor he can bang on those little fuckers and he doesn’t have to pause. You try to kill the turret as he’s healing it and it out damages you usually, you try to kill him and you might succeed but the turret will still kill you and he’ll respawn just as fast as you and be right back to whacking on it. He’ll be around pelting you with that shotgun if he isn’t close enough to heal the turret so you have two layers of fire on you. Even his alt is more annoying because he can make a super turret and is super up himself so you have two big problems to think about.
Again I’m not throwing around the word OP like most people but still, fuck both of those characters for now.
The Bastion downplay is just kisses fingertips a thing of beauty. No one is saying he’s unbeatable, but to act like its your whole team vs just Bastion instead of him and his whole team is hilarious. He must get 90% of the play of the game replays cuz his damage is bad and he sucks lol. Easily a Dan tier character herp derp!
That said at least I enjoy characters that can deal with him okay. Junkrat da gawd!
I’m having overwatch withdrawals. Put in BLOPS 3, fucking garbage. Put in DS3, tooooo serious and rage inducing.
Overwatch is almost perfect. Best FPS since Modern Warfare.
If Bastion is getting play of the game a lot just by… holding left click, it means no one did anything very significant in the game. People are taking Bastion plays of the game as evidence of him being good or not bad, but you have to remember that y’all just played open beta where a majority of players are new and don’t know what they’re doing. Of course one of the easiest characters to shred noobs with is going to get play of the game.
nah, you only fight Bastion by himself with no other opponents to attack you or block your assault on him with various means of support. He also doesn’t respawn and can’t get up to reposition to a more protected area or to find a healer or tank.
He just sits there in the middle of the map by himself not backed into a wall or corner to make it hard to flank him without crossing his or any of his teammates’ sight.

I really hope tweaks will be made for some heros come the launch of the game. The dream would be slight tweaking for console over pc cause the meta on both will be very very different. I can garantee that widowmaker wont be nearly as crazy on console as she can be on pc.

I mean I don’t think Bastion is all that great anyway, but I’m just saying the game doesn’t really gauge worth all too well.
I mean you could say that every hero has support and a team with them, making matchups and counters pointless because your team has you covered.
well there are characters that for one should NEVER be alone… And if they are eiter their entire team died or they are fucking idiots… If a tracer gets to fight a reinhardt something has gone horribly wrong… If a mercy has to fend 1v1 against someone something has gone horribly awry.

Those characters don’t benefit from that support to the magnitude that Bastion does.
Honestly most of the POTG I saw were from D.VA bombing people or Hanzo shooting a dragon into an entire team.
They should scale down the worth of Ults when factoring POTG.
