Unfortunately this is one of those games that if you arenāt playing with AT LEAST 4 people in your party then there isnāt a point in playing. Randoms are so fucking garbage. Iāll see a Tracer go into the entire enemy team by herself while Recon Visor is active for us and just die for no fucking reason. Plus people pick the characters that look cool instead of the ones we need to round out gaps in the roster. So you end up with shit like two Genjiās, Hanzo and a Widowmaker all on the attacking side of a payload game.
The games modes in Overwatch have been around at least 10 years before Overwatch was an idea. The concepts are basic as fuck. Push the car, capture points, kill enemies, donāt fight too many people by yourself, and pick a character that the team needs.
Iām a new player too. I havenāt played Overwatch before this beta. Itās common sense shit.
As far as randoms go, as always, itās hit or miss. Just like any FPS Iāve played, Iāve met competent players that became friends with me over the years through Quick Play. And while the modes might be standard, still getting use to characters, their moves and team comps are still in the works. Theyāll always be those teams that have 2 Widowmakers, 2 Hanzo, 1 Genji and maybe a support. But, you can just leave the game and let someone else suffer through.
And at the same token, this might be a lot of peopleās first FPS. Throw ins some cooldowns and it could be tricky for some people. But, I guess Iāve gotten some patience over the years.
My 6 year old son plays overwatch and I bought him a Mad Catz pro 360 controller to use so he feels special. Mostly he just plays vs AI, but hes been playing the Tavern Brawl this week lol sorry anybody teamed up with him
You played destiny and other FPS just like me lmfao
you know its different game same shit you gotta wait for people to develop
anyways i just started playing today and i like symmetra and tracer everyone is extremely interesting. only had time to practice though i gotta watch more stuff to get the feel and then jump on games later tonight
Playing this on PC. I know everyone compares it to TF2, but to me, it feels like a stripped down version of Unreal Championship 2. I guess the nostalgic feeling is why this shit is fun as fuck. Iām even playing as Support/Heals rather than going for kills.
Soldier: 76 & Reinhardt are my go-to-heroes for the time being.
Soldier: 76 for the traditional FPS side of me & Reinhardt for defending objectives and just overall helping out my team the best way I can by being a shield.
Already liking this more than BattleBorn and the reason being is the fact that Overwatch is just MP, so Blizzard put more care and effort into the multiplayer unlike Gearbox, who were split with SP & MP (Btw love the singleplayer of BattleBorn, it was just ātoo muchā going on in there MP).
All in all Overwatch looks & feels much cleaner & simpler than BattleBorn.
