Looks like the Bleach games are going in a DBZ: Tenkaichi kind of direction with this newest one. It has 2 players fighting freely through various areas, it’ll have Wifi play and perhaps some sort of partner system. Should be fun. Release date in December. Also made by Treasure’s BDS team.

yeah well Xbox360 isn’t doing well in Japan, and PS3 is not fun to developer for,
so I can understand why Treasure chose Wii. but it’s probably a Japan only release
anyway. plus since it’s their first 3-D project in a while, I doubt Versus Crusade will
have a selection worth buying a console for… But it’s nice they are going for a more
free roam, Tenkaichi style of game. I would like Spike, the makers of Tenkaichi 3,
to make a Bleach fighting game, but looks like Treasure beat them to it.

The only reason I’m a bit pensive, is because this is technically something rather new (and untested) from Treasure. 3D arena-fighter, when most everyone was expecting probably something closer to the 2D gameplay they’re known for?
But eh, it’s Treasure, so I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I haven’t cared about Bleach at all in over two years, but hey, Treasure-made games are enough to make me play the games…
I said it once…I’ll say it again. Wii does not always = WAGGLE FOR YOUR ATTACKS. More than likely there’s going to be several different ways to play the game especially when it comes to fighters on the wii… I’m sure at least 3rd parties have found out by now that it’s better to have different modes of play after Nintendo and D3 followed suit. You don’t like using the wii and nunchuk? Fine! You can work with the gamecube ports and the classic controller.

DBZ BTenkaichi 3 is more true to the free roam DBZ fighting than the more street fighter-like
DBZ games that dimps made.
that same holds true for this upcoming Bleach games. it doesn’t need to become a
2-D streetfighter/guilty gear X wannabe to be considered a great fighting game.
as long as the movement and action is good and flexible like Tenkaichi 3, then it’ll
be much more exciting than if it was another 2-D like fighter.
For those worried about waggle controls I hear they demonstrated the game on the Classic Controller.
Perhaps it’ll be more Dissidia than Tenkaichi? There’s supposed to be more info on the game on the 29th according to Neogaf so maybe we’ll know more then.

The game definitely doesnt use Wiimote, it uses Classic Controller or Gamecube controllers, i guess this confirms that is a standard fighting game… and thats awesome news for me at least.
