Aizen said that there was no one “standing in heaven”. He wasn’t directly addressing the fairness of the system or the lack thereof so much as pointing out the fact that there was a complete absence of any leadership whatsoever—which he was right about of course.

That rule doesn’t really apply to the King though, since it’s sorta the King’s job to rule over SS and the Spirit Kingdom or whatever. I mean, they look to him and acknowledge him as “The King.” They’re his subjects, but he treats them like complete shit. It doesn’t matter if he’s strong or not because of his assholery: “The King” is the biggest douche in the story.

The Central 46 are assholes put in charge by an even larger asshole. They’re the ones who declare everything taboo and sentence kids to jail, banish them to the real world, or sentence them to death. Take the Hollowification experiment incident for example. Um, your fellow soul people are down. They’re accusing one another of being in on the conspiracy. Obviously someone is lying. But when shit happens, what does the Central 46 do?

Aizen pretty much showed that the “Spirit King” does indeed sit on his lazy ass and delegate everything to the Central 46 by masterfully manipulating the living shit out of the Central 46 . That’s like Obama putting the Supreme Court of Dicks in charge. C46 is the main reason SS has all this “taboo” shit and dumb ass rules. We’ve been shown that Aizen and Tousen think it’s okay to subvert the boundary between Shinigami and Hollow because at best it’s a limit to power in Soul Society, and at worst, it’s an arbitrary form of oppression in the Soulo Society. Tousen looks down on Dog Face because of this prejudice.
