Well you’re forgetting this dude hadn’t seen this version of his Bankai. His Bankai completely changed within 1000 years. Before it burned anything it touched, now it completely disintegrates it, and considering this guys first counter strategy and his reaction when it failed, he had absolutely no clue about the defensive part of this Bankai, which seems to be the kicker.
So that’s what it means whenever Shonen Jump says Bleach is going on break in order for the author to “gather research”.

However I disagree about Aizen…even Aizen feared it enough to make a retarded arancar just to roll cancel it…he knew CC could beat him.
EDIT - Oh yeah and Aizen’s tech is water based, so CC just activating his abilities would pretty much erase Aizen’s shikai…

i don’t recall that far back. All I do know is that Aizen was able to beat everyone but lost at the end anyway.
hmmm…as far as this part is concerned im pretty sure Aizen was lying when he said that. In fact, i dont believe its water based at all. When he was explaining it to Unohana and tall chick he said he basically made that up as means to put SS under complete hypnosis while demoing it for them. The hypnosis ritual as Unohana called it…

I’m with million on this though, this blood war arc and the final royal guard arc need to get animated at some point. Bleach just looks and feels better when flowing in color with it’s sountrack. Even the fullbringer arc was enjoyable to watch in anime form, though in fairness that could have been because I knew to not actually pay attention to the plot or characters for the duration.
I honestly think they will pull an Inuyasha, go on hiatus for about 2 years with no anime, and then do the entire series in one shot with no filler. Assuming the popularity doesn’t completely disappear.
If nothing else Bleach feels like Bleach again. Yes it’s over the top and riddled with Shounen cliche’s. But who gives a fuck, it’s fuckin Bleach. We’re all reading because despite Kubo’s blunders over the years, he’s made us sit and want to know about a lot of shit:

Well then he’s implying wrong. It wouldn’t be so much he’s weaker than FF Ichigo, moreso than he had massive preparations to fight CC compared to Ichigo.
CC was also fresh off an attempted suicide bomb. He wasn’t gonna be at his best against Aizen.
Don’t get me wrong, I think CC would still scrape Aizen if he goes Bankai, but it’d at least be a closer fight…barely.
