As “sure” as he is, it’ll probably be stolen. Then Ichigo will save the day. Less of a jobbing act than Yamamoto being defeated and Ichigo has to step in. IMO, getting your shit stolen is less jobbing than losing with your Bankai. It’d still make the argument of Ichigo being the most broken up in the air. As powerful as he is, you don’t know if he’s stronger than Yamamoto and (to an extent) some of the other captains.
If he’s getting it stolen, it’s not going to happen within the next few chapters. He’s probably going to get worked on, then get it stolen.
I understand it’s anime logic to think that but give the old fart some credit here.
If anything, I’m going the route that old man will hold his own for awhile, something will happen, he gets killed (or badly hurt…or bankai stolen.) then Ichigo comes, holds off Juha for a bit (via plotkai powerup or main char plot armor) but then Juha will just power up and beat him down…hence Squad zero shows up (or Ishida since he has something important on this but hasn’t shown his face since the beginning of the arc.)
In any case, if Yama gets fucked up, it’s his own fault.
I would like to see this arc animated. In the manga we get a bunch of white panels, and in some action scenes you can’t tell what’s going on (at least that’s how it is for me). Besides, who wouldn’t want to see Yamamoto’s bankai animated an in colour?
When this series is finally over, I wonder if we’ll get a new Bleach fighting game with all the Vaizard captains/butterflaizen/Isshin/Sternritters? Oh, and Treasure needs to work on the game since the Bleach DS games are solid.

This just further proves that Aizen was the smartest person in this manga. I like how the Quincy boss was G enough to know he could take down the old man, but got loltrolled right after.

These few chapters are just to show us how broken this one bankai is just for the sake of it being stolen by the quincy king and then offing CC. Eventually ichy will brake out of his bubble and two panel the remaining quincys in order for the epic 1v1 battle with the king. The king will activate the x-factor flame bankai, just so that ichy can GETSUGA TENSHOUUUUUUUUUU it to oblivion. Full circle.

I am pretty sure that we have a long way before seeing Ichigo fighting the King.
At least from what i get (or hope) that Kubo is trying to do, is to show us how powerful is the quincy army by obliterating SS, and possibly setting a bigger threat like destroying the circle of life and death by doing that.
I feel that Ichigo wouldn’t be free until is too late. The best way to crush SS is to beheading the seireitei. Not only their stronger warrior will be lost, but also the hope and spirit of all SS, and possibly it can serve as drama because many would feel that since Ichigo wasn’t there to save them, making him feel more guilty about it.
Holy fuck. CC Bankai is like the most broken thing I’ve ever seen.
