Man, the more I think about it… the more ridiculous that power is… if I was writing/illustrating a comic book, I most likely would never put a character in like that unless the character is literally God or a god of that universe…some cosmic-level entity that isn’t even in a conflict with anyone. It’s silly if a being like that ever ends up losing a fight. Everything can be over in 1 or 2 thoughts…
I just imagined that I am perfectly invincible. (*one might want to do this just to see what the other dude’s powers are, out of curiosity…set up your invincibility to make sure you survive whatever the opponent is about to do.)
Well…anything— I’ve decided that you are dead. Or—“I’ve decided that you are now a harmless fly.”… I imagine that you are now a plank of wood. Or… I’ve just imagined that you were never born in the first place…and just like that the other guy never existed and no one else even remembers him…imagination power just erased him from the space-time continuum.
*it would’ve been interesting to see …Isane fight, even if it would’ve been just to show off how absurd this guy is. I don’t think she’s done anything in terms of fighting since way back in the Soul Society vs. Aizen situation… I think she was the one that got shut down by Ichigo if I recall.
Who knows, perhaps his power is limited to an specific area of action.
Also for what we can see with Kenpachi, probably his power is limited in not affecting those simply have more reiatsu power in general.
Kenpachi’s shikai could be negating other people’s special abilities, or that his sword can cut anything. I’m not sure which one is more fitting for him.
The first one allows him to be broken in the sense that now people have to fight him with only physical abilities, in which case he’d most likely win. The second one allows kind of a more “fair” fight since other people’s powers work on him, but with his superb fighting skill dodging his attacks is impossible. But at least he’d still be vulnerable to illusions/keep away. Or I’m totally off.
Would be hilarious if he knows his ability, but decides to not use it for his handicap and we never see it. Ever.
Illusions dont work on Kenpachi or at least prevent him to handing out a serious ass beating. Also Kenpachi hasnt evolved at all am tbh I happy about that since hes now the only character in the manga that doesnt, on some level, suck balls.
I did like the Unohana twist but tbf she was always shit as well, am glad shes dead, if Kenpachi can make it to the end of this manga alive I will be quite satisifed that the whole experiance wasnt a waste of my time.
What if they just do the Aizen deal where Ken’s so strong he just negates dude’s power anyway? Like how Aizen negats Soi Fon Shikai cause she’s too weak.
this leaving his Shikai still up in the air. I like the idea of his shikai’s power being able to cut anything. it’d go nicely with how the whole fight went with Ichigo on where he could cut through Zangetsu because of his strength yet Ichigo couldn’t even bruise Kenpachi cause his powers weren’t focused/harnessed/one with Zangetsu.
When did Kenpachi do that move!? Probably just a one time thing though.
Kenpachi would have lost to Tousen if he didn’t dick around. But Kenpachi adapted and kicked his ass because of it. Aizen-level of illusion tricks should work (so I guess only him?). I can see Shinji’s not. As broken as it is, Kenpachi would be the only opponent who would adjust quickly enough and have it be believable.
wasn’t that just the animation of the slash and not an actual projectile? Cause I was pretty sure it was just to show how powerful that kendo slash was and not literally a projectile.
I don’t know for sure, but it seems like it had some kind of extended range at least.
After the slash, you see that Nnoitra is no where near where he would’ve needed to be to get hit by that blade. Can’t say that he got blown back either, because he can’t be seen in the frame where the swing ends.
