I wouldn’t be surprised if Kenpachi didn’t make a significant appearance in all of 2014. With Naruto out the door, Kubo is probably holding on to the best shit for a time when he’ll get all the attention.
I dislike the “if you don’t know the name, you can’t achieve the power.” Made sense the first time with that gay dude, since he deliberately did it. Giving Renji the name seems like forcing the zanpakuto to show its full power, which is contradictory to the idea of Zanpakuto are their own entities and (most likely) choices.
so you DO realize this means Hitsuderp is probably going to get the almighty powerup of all since he hasn’t fully mastered his Bankai yet either? I can see Kubo puling some BS for him to get his full powerup for all the fanboys/fangirls going wild for him again.
Well as much as I hate Toshiro’s ass…at least this one would be expected as they’ve said non stop from day 1 “His Bankai isn’t finished”. It’s not as much of an asspull if they’ve pretty much set the stage for it for 500 chapters.
Except by the part where he’s been featured at every opportunity? And Byakuya hasn’t had any more plot importance than Toshiro since the Soul Society arc.
Denying that Kubo has a love affair with Toshiro and wants him in as many things as possible is delusional.
You mean the guy who practically is a permanent plot device for Ichigo’s resolve? The guy who forced the main character to level up his Shinigami skills back in SS arc, who was the main boss for Ichigo pre Aizen reveal. The man who went to Hueco Mundo in the Arrancar arc to help Ichigo (and Rukia) personally and who convinced him to go fight in FKT instead of helping with Yammy alluding to his Shinigami responsabilities. You mean the guy who fought arguably the most influential character in the Fullbring arc in Tsukishima, who trolled Ichigo worse than Aizen, messing with his family and cracking his sanity and had the most difficult fight of all which was supposed to belong to Ginjou. Or the character who begged Ichigo to forgive his transgressions in an act of humility and to protect SS against the Quincies in what he believed to be his dying moment, which motivated Ichigo to face Juha Bach directly?
Almost all big emotional decisions for Ichigo involve Byakuya in every instance. And you are comparing Byakuya’s plot importance to Hitsugaya?
LOL!
Yes, Kubo features Hitsugaya but I wouldn’t call it a love affair. He practically said once that he hates the character, (and it shows) but he brings the $ so, is whatever. Editorial decision most probably.
