You can bet your ass that is what will more likely to happen. If Ichigo’s true power is related to flames and his zanpakuto is more powerful that Yamamoto’s zanpakuto is no brainer that Ichigo will test it against the person who claims that can offset the flames of Yamamoto’s bankai.
Also, the chapter was kinda meh.
I like how once Yamamoto died all of a sudden all the shit talkers came out of the woods to shit on him.
I liked the chapter. But these are the type of chapters that needs to be longer if it’s just going to be “i’m coming!” “K” then show off 3-4 pages of someone getting wrecked.

If they are going to have any impact, they need to have left awhile ago. Doesn’t make sense (does anything ever?) to have all of them go down the same way only to be relatively close behind Ichigo when he is flash-speed and can get there within a day.

I’m also tired of useless panels. NOTHING gets done within one chapter. It’s awful. They use a different panel to have someone say something all the fucking time. How about drawing a fucking panel where they’re all there and you can have them say what they want in one box? You know, to speed this fucking story along.

Then the series doesn’t run as long which means less money (however marginal). Every manga has filler in some way. Kubo is just a lot more blatant about it.

I have no problem with decompressed storytelling
Depending on the writer, neither do I. That said, it takes one of a mighty prose to make a decompressed story feel as if it’s moving briskly. This dude isn’t that.
I will agree that the pacing has been better before…but i thought bleach was dragging like hell during hueco mundo and fake karakura but when reading the arcs all at once it moved rather fast. I feel like this arc will be the same
