I don’t see how this changes the tide of battle much. Baza B claims to have flames stronger than captain commander. Hitsu would have gotten bodied either way by that level of power.

motherfucker got roasted by CC. and now that ice kid bankai is a hollow, it means that bazz b powers aren’t that effective due to the fact that quincies are natirally weak to shinigami.
this chaoter also explains the balance between all 3 races and why the shinigami saw the quincies as a threat. eradication of the hollows would have reaulted in the destruction of rhe spirit world and probably negatively affect the spirit king.
it also makes aizen much more interesting. and explains why he was so willingly able to give up his bankai and why he hated the spirit king. nigga know but is real jehova about it all and is wi lling to allow the balance to be destroyed.

Shinigamis AREN’T good guys.
Ichigo is a good guy, Inoue is a good guy, Chad is a good guy, Ryuuken is a good guy.
There are exceptions here and there with the Shinigamis like Isshin, Renji and Sajin but for the most part the Shinigamis are all highly corrupt motherfuckers that live in a dictatorship style regime. This was brought forward in the SS arc, in the Fullbring arc with the Ginjou situation and now before the 1st Quincy invasion. Shinigamis are evil.
We need to learn more about the Quincy history and their place since Bach mentioned that the spiritual world belonged to the Quincies before SS took over and they represent holiness and anti-corruption. Even the Sternritters acknowledge that their king doesn’t like fighting and he did help Ichigo in many life threatening situations. He didn’t want Ichigo on the Shinigami path but we don’t know why yet.
At this point, I feel more sympathy for the Hollows than the Shinigami. The Hollows can’t help just being wild beast creatures.
Quincies too OP. Urahara comes in with Uraharapatch 2.0. Expecting massive shinigami buffs and nerfing Quincies to an oblivion

Even if he gets his bankai back, hes spent. Hes got a massive hole through his heart and a claw strike through the ass, even with bankai hes in no position to fight. Also lieutenant big jugs is dead no matter what way you dice it, so he should just enjoy an emo cry and die. The only thing i really hate about Hitsu is that hes been put in a position to be CC over the last few years and plot armor will stop at nothing to see it through, reason be damned.

Exactly, he isn’t ready right now. The way you guys are talking about it is as if he’s going to become CC in his current state. He’s only a child compared to everyone barring Yachiru and Momo. An implication that he has the potential to become CC later when he has a lot more experience and wisdom isn’t anything to be upset about.
