And some things just don’t make sense. You killed off Unahona only to power up Zaraki? So you’re saying Zaraki now (still uncertain if he knows his Shikai ability, let alone his Bankai) is better than the nerfed Zaraki + Unohana? Really?
I wanted her to at least defeat SOMEBODY. A random jobber, a menos, something.
Honestly, this is very possible. I mean let’s keep it real, he shit on everyone he fought, he lost because he brought himself to their levels for fun (Kubo’s been consistent on that, from Bells and shit to one hand). All of that, attaining Captain status, without even having a shikai. Not only did he attain Captain status, outside of ‘broken’ tech - he still was top tier amongst the captains. Now factoring in the main villain being seemingly strong enough to fuck up anyone, you need to spike your strongest person to be able to deal with him. Even though we haven’t seen the new CC go balls to the wall, no one expects him to be on the level of the old CC…who LOST. So unless he has a power up looming, SS’s best chances are to power up Zaraki, and see how far Ichigo can go - since Ichigo and the old CC were the only ones capable of beating Aizen apparently and Zaraki just wasn’t there to prove otherwise.
Would I have liked more of her though…yeah. But I can kind of see the logic in it.
