Honestly…it all make sense…<div><br></div><div>In order for Kenpachi to unlock his sword, a sacrifice of epic levels had to be performed. Only stabbing Unohana or Aizen (not possible) would have done the trick. What i find interesting is that even when Ichigo has his bankai broken, he is still using his bankai clothes. Just watch how he reforge his bankai using his Shinigami/Hollow/Fullbring/Quincy powers by the end of this training arc.
Also, i wouldn’t be surprised if Ken developes a kidou bankai that heals lol.
Side note
I wouldn’t be surprised if Ken zanpakuto is similar to Ichigo, in that both of them were not born from an asauchi, but their own power instead.
