Chapter was blurry in my head. I’m guessing we won’t get the full picture until the next time Ken gets into it with someone powerful enough to make him show his cards. I’ll be waiting for the time when Zaraki finally says those magical words…BAN KAI!!!
So wait… what the hell was her Bankai supposed to be?!
I enjoyed the whole bloodbath battle bit, but this is just so pathetic. No grand battle to top shit off, just a completely unfulfilling stab to kill her… :-<
His whole power issue was mental, that was the point. He never needed a power increase. At full power it looks like among the captains only Yamamoto, Mayuri and possibly Aizen could beat him in a fight.
Regarding the confusing nature of this fight, you have to remember that we’re essentially supposed to be experiencing this battle from Zaraki’s perspective, which is why everything seems to flash on and off while the battle is taking place.
I am pretty disappointed at how this turned out, but I am waiting for an actual close to this particular event; something about it rings hollow and I am hoping for a substantive finish, even if we have to wait until after we see what Marichigo and Lurenji are up to.
True. It’s just a shame to waste a hyped up character and come out with just a mediocre killing and even a mediocre explanation on the character’s backgrounds. Especially since these were 2 of the 4 most mysterious characters up to this point.
I guess the point’s across. Kenpachi better be raping anyone in his way after this.
He isn’t, but his Bankai spouts all kinds of crazy poison everywhere and Kenpachi isn’t one to try to out-maneuver something like that. At least that’s what I think he’s implying.
Since hes never actually lost a fight, is basically unkillable by physical attacks, fights with airborne poison and nanotech and has the prep time advantage on any captain. In a straight up sword he has always been the weakest captain, but in a no holds barred fight, which captains besides Yamamoto, Aizen and Urahara would beat him?
Like I said before full power Kenpachi may have finally turned around his bad matchup against Byakuya, but full power Kenpachi still loses worse than 9-1 to Mayuri.
