Ah, I see. Well, killing the current Captain isnāt the only way to become Kenpachi. Just the quickest way I would assume. I think you can get elected or whatever the normal way as well. Iām not 100% on that thoughā¦or even any %. Itās been so long since they explained.

Yeah, itās not 100% clear if the current generationās āKenpachiā is always the Squad 11 Captain or vice versa. Zaraki was walking around calling himself āKenpachi from Zarakiā before he killed the 10th Kenpachi. The title probably isnāt official until you win Evo, aka, kill the person whom most people recognize as the current champ in front of hundreds of people.
This should play when the do the OVA version of this arc when Shunsui reveals Unohana as being first kenpachi. (well itās not the song Iām thinking but I donāt know the name of the one similar to this.)

I wonder how/if her shikai has offensive capabilities? Also the shikai weāve seen that take the form of some living thing have bankais that are bigger more powerful version of it. That doesnāt lead me to believe sheād have a combat focused bankai. So does that mean her stats and sword fighting capabilities are off the charts on their own merit?

Her Bankai could just be the complete fucking opposite of her shikai. Then again, her shikai may just have some minor healing attributes to compliment the offensive ability.
Fixed, he already has a perma-shikai
The only persons bankai, I can think of off the top of my head, thatās totally unrelated to their shikai is Soifon. Most of them retain the same theme.

Hey, heres something I havenāt brought up in a year or two but, we probably still donāt know what Unohanaās shikai is.
Given what every other shikai in the series looks like and what the few canon materialized zanpakutos that have been shown look like, Minazuki is probably here swords physical form and not her shikai. Which is pretty badass since no one else in the entire series has shown a practical use for their materialized zanpakuto other than training against it.
I wonder if theyāll fill the 8th Captain spot with a Vaizard or give it to newly powered up Renji.
Hopefully this turn of events would bring a new influx of h-art of Unohana :lovin:
That works for me. I was thinking of something more boring like āReturn of the original Kenpachiā or āTruepatchi.ā
itāll soon bring out the Unohana cosplayers more.
