Okay, Naruto and Bleach are going hard this week. I think Kubo and Kishi were tired of the shit we were talking.
Kyoraku is the new CC, no surprise honestly. He was already starting to run things it seems and he was one of Yama’s direct apprentices. Still glad it happened though.
Ichigo and Renji are healed which means it’s time for Renji to be jobber shield once again!
But let’s just skip all that and get to the actual important part of the chapter. YOOOOOOOOO UNOHANA! We all had a feeling but it’s now confirmed. She’s officially the baddest bitch in all of manga. We haven’t even seen what she can do, but ain’t no one gonna question her when she has that stare going. The first Kenpachi…holy fuck. And she’s training the new one, who apparently knew the old one. Him knowing Unohana would make sense as to why he didn’t go complete Blood Knight on the rest of Soul Society yet. She was keeping him in check (or you know, as much in check as you can to a guy like Kenpachi).
Shit is getting real, Kubo is not holding back right now.

This arc is starting to turn into the Kubo redemption tour, because I have not been displeased in close to a month. One Kubo has always done great is foreshadowing. I remember when kenpachi gave yachiru her name in honor of “the only person he’s ever cared for.” that was all the way back to the SS arc. Damn I’m too hype.
This chapter explains why Unohana’s healing wasn’t enough to save Byakuya: healing was never her strongest suit. Zero Squad basically told Unohana to go back to doing what she does best. Now we know why everyone’s so afraid of her.
Now I’m wondering if there was a bigger reason behind preventing Unohana from fighting with everyone else.
Probably a way to never forget who she was or whatever she did while she moved on to being a full time healer.
So am I the only one entertaining the thought that the two Kenpachi are related in some way? I mean their physical attributes are pretty close if you ask me. Tall lanky builds, all black hair and eyes… Just a thought.
She was a part of that gang at first, wasn’t she? That is until the former Cap. Commander decided they should help build the Gotei 13 instead. She probably did something she regretted and swore to only heal from that point on.

I had always assumed that he was the real deal and dipped out before Captain Commander showed up. That way, him not letting go of his sword even after the loss makes his potential that much more apparent.

Once again, something retroactively cements Aizen’s status as the smartest person in the story. It’s no wonder why he left, when she showed up after he cut down ice gohan.
I don’t see it that way. Imagine if she decided to fight Aizen during the Hinamori deception. She’d have killed everybody in Fake Karakuru Town. There would’ve been no guarantee that she wasn’t gutting her own Vice Captain had she taken on Aizen when he first rebelled.
