It’s not technically an infinite. It just kills you from full health instantaneously off any hit and there’s nothing you can do about it. I’m not talking about some cheesy “I can kill in two hits with SuC” deal, either. It’s a genuine instant-kill combo.

All inescapable infinites/instant kills involve cards anyway, and cards are stupid, so whatever. I only use aforementioned combos on scrubs who are too stupid to turn off cards. Needless to say, they usually turn their cards off after the first match against my deck.

i like playing without spirt cards but anyway soi fon is a really good charcarter she has a lot of lead in’s to her launcher in which she can continue her air combos and after the double jump she can follow up with her flash step and hit you 3 more times (light medium then hard flash step up repeat) ya she good

Oh… figures there. I hate playing that way: it makes the game feel broken.

I know nothing about this game. I played a ranked match against this guy who totally raped me, but it was cool cuz I enjoyed being humbled. I was upset that he left though after a few games, like he didn’t want to put up with a scrub.

If there is anyone interested, I’d really enjoy some heavy schooling in this game. I was thinking if we exchanged FCs, we could both get on AIM and when we play you can tell me what I need to improve. Just a thought.

Had fun playing Justice last night. I am not understanding the timing for cancelling into flashsteps, but I assume it will come soon enough. Now that I have played against good comp, it seems the game is all about the juggle?

Also, what are good strats for making sure you get that first hit in the match? My normal approach isn’t working (relentless attack).

Soi Fon could combo into her SuC at one point but they got rid of that really quick…which is kinda lame, they might as hell have just changed her SuC altogether.

It’s mostly a guessing game. There are few things you can open with, some trump others, others just leave you sitting on the opposite side of the screen looking like an idiot.

  1. BOFS. Flash step behind and hit them real quick.
  2. TAFS. Flash step up and hit them from above.
  3. Throw. Open with a throw.
  4. Special. Usually works best if you do a BOFS and then a lunge-in special, like Ichigo’s 41236.
  5. RF. Either FS and RF, or just RF. It’ll hit them if they try to FS, giving you the first hit.
  6. Run the hell away. A lot of scrubs just line-jump and wait for you to follow so they can hit you during the plane switch. For lulz, just sit and wait for them, and hit them when THEY try to plane switch back. In more serious play, just back up and use a standard approach instead of edging up before the match.

And Soifon’s SuC wasn’t nerfed, SuB was. The fact that it was the only realistic way to combo into SuC was just incidental. You can still set a ninja, go in on a standard approach, hit with normals, and activate SuC right as the ninja first kicks the opponent, though. That’ll combo, the explosion is long enough to cover the activation time.

actually the most realistic way to combo into SuC was RF Rush move into the corner, super cancel into SuC aiming backwards

but they got rid of that…

but you pretty much never got 6 bars anyways so hm

The first one is pretty hardcore. The second one is some random kid stealing other people’s videos and taking credit for them. Don’t watch the second, it’s a pure ripoff, he didn’t even change anything. I doubt he could even do the super basic Bonnie combo in the beginning.

does soi fon have a inf, I got like 20+hits doing tiger knee dive kick and there was no pushback I just sorta laughed then stopped.

That’s been around since the first game, but it really doesn’t do much damage.

Is there a certain move I should be using for Yamamoto’s TAFS? All of his air normals feel like they have bogus ranges to me.

It’s jAC. Yama’s not an easy character to TAFS with, but it’s still better than trying to TAFS with Kenpachi. Now there’s an exercise in futility and also completely pointless considering his ground combo deals more damage.

This game seems crazy as hell the more i learn. Guard/damage cancels, flash step, otg. I thought this was gon be simple to pick up rofl.

Guard cancel = Cancel blockstun with a flash step, special, or super.
Damage cancel = Burst using one super stock.
Flash step = Invinciomnidash.
OTG = Hitting them as they touch the ground after a wallbounce.

The game itself is actually quite simple. FS around the screen trying to land a hit, guard cancel if you block an attack, and FS cancel if your attack is blocked.

Is Tosen still usable? I heard he dropped a tier despite being low-mid in the first place.

Kinda-sorta. He can’t do DNL anymore, nor can he do 41236A > 41236B. He does benefit a fair bit from the 41236C, but his 236A/B sucks now and isn’t really worth using.
