it’s ok roman it was lag hell so you didn’t miss much haha. May I suggest for future tournament you only keep it to one coast and have like an east coast and a west coast one. I had a lot of fun but pretty much my first 3 matches were lag and then my 4th match was pretty much screwed D:
It might be worth looking into Kitori’s suggestion, though, of course, we need people to show up a lot more reliably than they are doing now.

I understand that lag is a party pooper in these tourneys, hell I was so salty today coz of my matches that I lost the will to play seriously. but think about it, if we BARELY make it to the limit of 16 as it is with all the US and Canada allowed, and a fake limit at that coz we get a fuckton of no-shows in every tourney so we actually get like 12 or so. how the hell are we gonna get some tourneys running with limiting it to HALF of the people that sign up?
I already have it limited to US/Canada only… either way I’m thinking of stopping after this TE marathon thing is over and just wait for a game with a netcode that isnt total garbage to run tourneys for. Maybe MvC3, AH3 or KoFXIII? there’s still hope…

I don’t understand why I get mostly only red and yellow bars vs people from the US. Are Canada-to-US networks really THAT shitty? I mean Gamerbee from Taiwan plays japanese players all the time online and he says it’s fine, but as soon as he comes over here and plays XBL vs other American players he says it’s laggy.
first thing you should know that Japan has god tier Internet, so it barely lags for them unless its like all the way across the globe.
secondly, I’ve played people in Canada with green connections, its all about the location, like… if I play someone from Vancouver I’d probably get a good connection coz we’re both on the west coast, but if I play someone from Ottawa or Montreal I’ll probably lag just as much as it lags with people from NY.

I still think it has to do with our network infrastructure. I mean when I play DingDongOutlaw, it’s almost always a red bar. and he lives only 100 km away from me.
Then other times i get only green bars, like playing vs Genistar in Georgia.
I knew it wasnt normal for you to miss the tourney, this is what made it hurt! all the no-shows were regulars lol

It’s cool I can understand why you want to avoid that and all. I still had fun and I’ll gladly play in the next one if you can sign me up, Have you tried making like a waiting list for over flow to fill spots with no shows? that way people are not discouraged after seeing it “Full” even though you always have no shows. Make a first come first serve waiting list/ day of show. type of deal. Why don’t you try that for this one coming up. Unless you have tried that before and it didn’t work. Also Just to let you know Thanks for doing this. I know you don’t have to do this or even give out prizes, so Thank you!
Yeah the waiting list sounds like a good idea, if we get enough entries we’ll try that.
