Can you just go away already?
thanks for postin your names, yall suck at fighting games so you proved my point
kensk
ok one notice to all, please shit storm elsewhere or thread goes bye bye.
ken is god tier btw
ill put my money on him over 98% percent of you
Kensk you’re stupid if you think this game is badly balanced.
EDIT: Expect Litchi to be higher on the next tier list, real talk.
Yeah i’m expecting that too. I’m also expecting the gap between arakune and Nu between the other 10 to be wider. (i swear they’re discovering new tricks by the minute! D:)
Since I’m going to now hop into this thread full of angry people against my own will, I might as well do it in the most manly fashion possible!
Firstly, I think Hakumen is a big bag of crap. I don’t mean that to be flame baiting, it’s just sort of my experience with him. Maybe it’s just that I’ve not played against any good players or seen any good matches, but yeah.
As for Tager, I 100% believe that this is a case of the player making the tier rather than the character making the tier. I think Tager has a lot of potential for someone who can figure out how to use magnetism super effectively, especially with his insane damage rate. Am I good at using Tager? No, but I’ve played against some people who make for very convinving arguments.
Hell, all I can really do at this point is think back to all the GG players I’ve known and how they all said Potemkin was worthless and slow and should never be played, then their Justice gets raped in the face and they’re speechless.
As for the rest, I’d say this has to be the most balanced first rev of a 2D fighter that shoots to mind. I mean they really did a good job making sure the characters weren’t obviously out of line even though there are a few seemingly disadvantageous matchups. I feel like I end up telling people this too much lately, but I look at it this way: If there’s no glitching and no tourney banned characters in play, then there are only two kinds of people at the end of day. The winners and the losers.
The winner’s the guy still standing at the cabinet and the loser’s the guy telling his friends how the winner got lucky or used some character that was a bad matchup or just spammed D or some similar complaint.
After all, our craft is the fighting game. At the highest level of play, button mashing will just get you dead. If button mashers kill you, hey, you’re not there yet. Don’t hate them. You’re the one that lost and you’re the one who should strive to improve. And if someone is stomping your ass, play them as much as you can. Don’t ragequit. You get better by beating the people who are better than you. But always be gracious. Because winning the match doesn’t make you a winner. And being a better player isn’t all about the number in the Win column.
Sorry for being cheesy, but I wasn’t feeling the love in this thread. Where’s the love, people?
when, in recent memory, was potemkin ever considered worthless? and who plays justice? :wtf:
anyway i got a real question:
during the commentary on the EVO stream, someone mentions that Nu is on the level of ST O.Sagat. is this accurate? i’ve never been much of an ST player but i’ve heard mythic tales of how freakishly good O.Sagat is
Lots of slower characters are considered worthless by… you know, new people who don’t know what they’re talking about. And when I first started playing GGX back in the day, people still hated him. And if the arcades I’ve been to are any indication, tons of jerkoffs play as Justice. I was at AX and there were Justice players all over… not at the tourney though, obviously.
As for Nu being O.Sagat level, I main Taokaka, so she can’t zone me very well, so I don’t think so. But hey! I am not a SF player, so maybe O.Sagat is sort of meh if he can’t zone as well? With his Tiger Flame and his stupid shorts.
Okay, here goes nothing.
WE’RE ALL SCRUBS
Now that that is said. And take that as comparitively speaking. Is anyone on this forum numbah one? If you are, take the above and tell me to shut my mouth.
Now if you aren’t, and you are complaining about tier lists… did it ever occur to you that possibly someone is just outright better than you skillwise? I’ve been stomped flat by a Carl player using Rachel.
The tier lists are what ‘top players’ of that player say about their matchup against another ‘top player’.
Now when you can man up, and figure out your own weaknesses, learn them, make them better, then play again, you can complain about tiers.
And for the record. I went from playing -VEGA- to playing Rachel. I know how it is to be bottom tier. You need to stop learning tiers, and learn your character.

I think O. Sagat is weaker than Nu. He’s good, just not freakishly good. He’s very beatable by the entire cast as well. The Japanese soft banned him because they felt he was gay “in so many words”. He’s not so overpowered to the point he’s worth banning. Plus he can be counterpicked. To some degree Nu is kinda of autowin. O. Sagat isn’t as braindead as Nu can be. I know using Nu more advance tools take some thinking, but O. Sagat at his core is a thinking man’s character. He has a lot of crazy tools for sure, but no everyone can bring them out properly.
’
O. Sagat also isn’t the best in the game, top tier sure, but not the best. Balrog, Dhalsim are all better than him. And he only has slight advantages over a lot of the cast. He has some big advantages over lower tiers obviously. But enough ST talk I guess.
Lolwut…?
At least against Nu when you get in close you can pulverize her low HP… Sagat has tons of HP, is a pain to get in close to, and can obliterate you at close range with… not too much trouble.
At least in BB, when you get ahold of Nu and you know your stuff, you can make her hurt real bad real quickly. Streetfighter not so much… you get close, and get TIGER UPPERCUT… and then you are back to square one again.
Same basic fight… but… not really :3
I’m just waiting for a good bang player to counter teleport every sword that a nu player spams at him.
I don’t have a single bit of positive rep yet.
In fact, I got neg repped because somebody didn’t like my user name (seriously!). The whole rep thing isn’t super serious dude…so take it with a grain of salt.
I will say however, that calling people names while bitching and moaning makes you look like a complete tool…not to mention, clogs up the forum with BS.
(back on topic) I think the great thing about BlazBlue is that most of the online community for it isn’t interested in taking the tier list(s) to heart.
I see every character being represented online (obviously some more then others), but it’s not like I’ve seen a ton of Arakune, Rachel, & V13. If anything, I see Jin the most out of the cast of characters.
Luckily, I don’t see any tier lists having a negative impact on the character selection in BlazBlue.
That is because the top tier characters are relatively difficult to use (well, except Nu, but Nu’s not necessarily the easiest character either). It takes quite a while before getting good with Arakune and Rachel.
About Jin, well, he’s the SF4 Ryu of Blazblue. Plays like a shoto and is also a really solid character to boot. As a result, there are a lot of Jins. Some are solid, while some are just icecar spammers (aka the Flowchart Kens of the game).
I will say that there is good variety, though. I’ve fought every character at least once, but there’s obviously more Ragnas/Jins/Noels than anyone else. That’s to be expected, though, since they are the main characters.
This thread is filled with lol and win.
Nu and Arakune need to be toned down. Arakune mostly though. It’s almost an instant game over once curse hits. Rachel could use her guard crush reduced a bit as well.
Tager and Bang need a bit of a buff as well. For the most part, this game is fine. Being a better player nets you wins in 95% of the situations.
HAHAHAHAHA
whatever was in your wall of text is now invalid
I warned you guys. you can thank the guy on the last page that used 4chan speak for this travesty being closed.
