i played GG competitively for a long time, im just getting into blazblu… Im having a blast with all these new mechanics and drives.
Can someone who is seasoned in this tell me if Hakumen is even a viable option to bring to tourneys? I know every character is viable ( in GG i mained Zappa and in SF4 i main Vega ) but ive been around the block with some skilled friends and my hakumen keeps on getting raped.
Oh and if anyone wants to get together with me on psn my psn id is Jarekov, and if anyone is from around chitown PM me if you wanna be in some local tourneys for this and sf4, T6, and SC4
Hakumen has a pretty bad time against the 3 top tier (like Tager and Bang), you have to play at your top if you want to win, at least against them
just check this vid, to give you a idea

yeah ive noticed that, it seems like nu gives alot of shit to everyone with her asinine zoning game. the question is do i want to invest 6 months into … wait yeah i do i fucking love hakumen.
C - j.B no longer links on anyone except tager, no more canceling 5D with 236D for huge primer breaks, and freeze ends automatically at the minimum time to be frozen, no more stick shaking. also, i think i read no more 2b tech traps? this is a tragedy, you’re crazy!
This new version of Blazblue has many people high on hopes and excited about the game. It’s a lot of fun to play vanilla Blazblue, so I’m sure this new rendition will also be a good time. Try it out for an extended period to give it an honest shot, and then make your decision based on that.
Blazblue tournies are still doing well with turn out for the most part. NEC currently has 85 people pre-registered for an upcoming tourney, so the player base is definitely there.
This game will be a lot easier for you to learn and pick up than Guilty Gear.
i don’t know. i’ve watched a lot of the videos that made it to youtube from nicovideo, and jin’s playstyle looks boring now. no more trench coat pressure of justice. ragna was my primary alt for all of calamity trigger, and he looks even more fun to play in continuum shift, which is why i’ll likely switch even if jin is still playable by altering strategy. ;[
May sound stupid, but i just decided to try out BB. I should receive it in my mail box in a few days , so now i m watching videos and trying to choose 1/2 characters to try out .
I m a big time SF3ts player mainly , i loved playing Ken , not for his top tier status but for his mixups , many tactics and the fact that apart kara throw you had pratically every tool in the game…he made me feel like i was using the game’s system to the max .
On the other hand , i enjoy playing Chun Li in SF4 too, defending and calculating spaces and pokes while punishing the other players mistakes.
As far as design goes i like Litchi and Taokaka(sp?) mainly . But from a gameplay standpoint, what would you think would suit me?
I m sorry again if it sounds stupid, but its my first time with an Arksys(sp?) game and i would like to get a good start on BB.
Does anyone know if the US xbox version of this is region-locked?
I’m european and tempted to just import it rather than wait for the french or whatever release…
Sorry if this was answered before but I found lots of dissonant information on the web.
There’s a dedicated fanbase online and offline granted that it’s not as large as the SF community, but if your looking for people in your area you might wanna look in the regional threads…
I have a question regarding Ragna
is this combo possible?
3C, 22C , dash backthrow (i know this is techable), gauntlet hades, delay follow up, 5B, d inferno uppercut, followups
when I do throw or back throw, I get the follow ups normally, but when i try to do it like the above it seems enemy recover in air faster??
also why is it so hard to combo 5C -> 6C ?? i try to mash C but 6C never combos
