Might be picking this up, but wanted to ask before I do, how is the online play? Is there a lot of lag?
It has about the best online out of any fighter at the moment. Very good netcode and rarely any lag/delay.
I know it’s a bit early to ask this, but what’s the general consensus on the game? Is it as solid and well-executed as Guilty Gear is? And is it as technically demanding, and as deep? Because I’ve been hearing lots of people mock the game, but I’m not sure if that’s because they have legitimate complaints, or they’re just random haters.
Random haters on SRK? Surely you jest.
It’s a good game, most of the hate seems to come from dudes crying about not getting another Guilty Gear.
The only hate I have is for Unlimited Ragna. The only reason he whoops my ass in score attack is cus he has a laggy connection.

Is the limited edition worth getting? Main reason I want to get it is for the tutorials.
The bonus DVD is great, but it’s also been ripped to youtube.
The DVD is good, but it’s nothing to sleep on. The “Strategy” part does a pretty good job explaining basic concepts across each character, but the Combos section is hit or miss. I find many of the combos listed to be unconventional outside of variations of BnBs and counter hit/grabs. SRK and Dustloop is where you’ll find the bulk of your info on that. Honestly, it’s the game you want, not the DVD. I know it’s nice to have a quick reference to get you started, but like Viache said, it’s on youtube. You’ll be doing most of your research online anyways.

Sorry if it’s been asked, but why are there threads instead of individual boards for the characters? Seems like this game is popular enough.
The higher ups have told me that it’s based on a traffic percentage. So at this point they don’t see the numbers they want/need to use that bandwith. You can always PM an admin and ask nicely I guess, can’t hurt if you want it and get enough people behind it haha.

Can someone please explain to me how Rachel is so high in the tier list? I currently main her before I knew there was a tier list for this game and I feel like she’s not that great of a character (compared to Nu-13, Arakune, and Jin) but then again I’ve only been playing this game for about 4 days and have mostly been playing story and arcade so I haven’t gotten a chance to see her full potential. I just learned her BnB combos and learned her strategies but I don’t see where she excels over most of the cast. Can someone explain it to me please…
I dunno, I dont look at tier lists ever and I only use one character in that game and it isnt noel. Just from playing against her, the fact that she can mash out drive attacks (skilled mashing or not) and a lot of that shit makes her invincible for a couple frames or so makes her powerfull. Other than that I couldnt say. Im bored so I felt like posting.
