If I remember correctly Litchi’s DP with staff is just as good, but deals way more damage because you get a free combo afterward.
I made a long-ass post on our adventure in enabling hi-res mode. Essentially, the SVGL BB X2 board could not send 720p over VGA cable, and thus had to install a separate DVI cable for the TV to actually get hi-res video. I formatted the second half of the post to be of a form suitable for Aksys marketing/tech-support to adapt for redistribution to customers.
This could be an X2 issue, or possibly an issue with the particular make+model of the TV used in the Vewlix L cabinet. It’s a rather obscure problem, though.
But, yeah, as of Fri 2008 Dec 5 6:15pm, the SVGL cab is in high-res no-lag mode. Giving up my DVI-D cable was a worthy price for the improvements. Now Checkerpatch can link all those stupid Noel combos, and I can Moriya-slash-freeze him after Just Defending :nunchuck:. Others have expressed their appreciation of the… finer details of Litchi otherwise lost in 480p mode. :rolleyes:
EDIT: problem might be with the Vewlix L TV instead of the Taito X2…
And I can continue to randomly mash out Hundred Sword slap at the most opportune moments totally by accident!

Today was great! It took me a while to get a good feeling for the game, but after a couple of hours, my Litchi became subpar. Thanks for the help from Alex, whoever that is.
Awesome day, was a little rusty at first but got back into the swing of things eventually, enough for a 20 win streak!! XD
