I was thinking of purchasing the game today start learning it… but the new one is releasing tomorrow you think people are still gonna be playing the original?
CT has been dead for months now. Just get CS tomorrow.
It’s only $40 for the new version (excluding DLC characters), may as well pick that up and enjoy the 3 extra characters on-disc and the far more active online play.
Thanks guys ill pick it up tomorrow and scrub it up.

lol yeah CT was dead 2 monthes after release haha.
That is if your copy isn’t coming in until Wednesday. Either way CT died shortly after but when people heard CS was coming out they kinda got back to it somewhat.
But just wait until tomorrow/day after.
On a related note, anyone know when the Continuum Shift board will actually become a board? Feels odd that we’re still using CT when CS comes out in the US tomorrow and has been out in Japan for weeks.
CT dead? I have no idea what you are all talking about…yes tomorrow will prolly kill CT but before then I found a far amount of matches on PSN…XBL through I didn’t really find much through but it got pretty good at times.
Yeah, my lil bro plays that crap everyday and the rooms are mad full.
I think it’s safe to say that there will be a few stubborn mainstays on CT but most will move to CS.
wtf…this thread is retarded…its like asking if you should buy sf4 the day before ssf4 came out…wtf
What about the PC gamers that will get the game ? Few will get it, thats for sure, but the game might live for some time. And you will be able to play with xbox gamers, which is not very interesting, since xbox players will get CS.
Guess I will resurrect this thread now, I want to purchase the PC version of CS but am unsure if there are people online? It doesn’t have to be many but are there any left? I do not own a current gen system and do not really plan on it to tell the truth.
This.
I’m in the same situation and would really like an answer. Do PC players flourish or is it pretty much dead?
In response to both posts above me ^
You might as well get a console version even if you don’t want a console, most people(if any) don’t play on the PC, most tournies held in the US(to my knowledge are played on either a PS3 or 360), unless your comfortable playing with a few friends who occasionally come over or you don’t mind fighting the CPU, I think thats the best your going to get, of course if you don’t even care about a competitive scene just go ahead and get it for PC, but with the release of the CS2 patch on home consoles that’s all thats in the spotlight for now, maybe you can pick a copy up for your 3DS(japan only) or PSP(region free)<- has the ability to play online through ad-hoc. Also last I recalled the PC version of BBCS was a pirated one that only had arcade mode so, I don’t think you have much to work with, correct me if I’m wrong.
I still play BBCT on PC nowadays, since we got no CS or CS2 and CT is still a nice game. There aren’t too many people playing it around the clock. But if you know the times where most people are online, you do not have to wait for your matches and can actually have quite some fun online still.
PC fighters have always had a hard time getting their hands on a good game. I will probably give SSF4 a try when AE comes out though.
