BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma EXTEND announced!

Almost every character had changes on the order of what you’re talking about. It’s not specific to Noel.

Lots of her stuff is better now, even if she no longer gets 4k+ fatal counters midscreen by mashing 4D.

Well Assault Through is safer on block now, her corner damage is lower for sure (rip 6k meter neutral) but she gained more consistent damage (most of her starters get her 3k and a ton of corner carry) and starters across the board, chamber shot allows her to convert stray hits into stuff and helps her push to the corner easier, etc etc. She has a really good corner oki game that has an option for just about anything her opponent could do on wakeup, her overhead leads to a ton more damage and despite not having the OS for it she used to have, she can still pressure since she goes into a drive string. Basically, everything she lost, was a worthy trade off to the immense amount she gained.

I haven’t researched her frame data neither in Extend or CP but I used to main her in Extend. Tried playing her in CP = EVERYTHING. FELT. WRONG.

Yeah, she maybe is higher tier than she’s ever been before but got totally changed in the process. From personal experience I’d advice you not get too comfy with her in Extend if you’ve decided to play her in CP, or at least prepare to learn her again from the start. All her attacks have new properties, none of her old combo pathways don’t work or work in a different way, her new DD is poor, no unblockable 22D.

I’m sorry for ranting but I want make a point. Play her once and you’ll know what I’m talking about.

Tsubaki’s strongest iteration was CS2, she’s been bottom or near-bottom tier in every other game, including this one. I think you’re greatly overstating her learning curve; she lost 22D and gained a command grab and some oki options, but the way the character plays has not been radically altered. She’s still a simple rushdown character with very limited neutral options and easy combo routes. It shouldn’t take more than a few days to adjust.

Spoken like someone who doesn’t really know anything about how the character works in CP. She’s kindof a mess. All your setups change. Your normals have changed in ways that will screw you if you autopilot into Extend-style options. Her combo routes outside of combo #1 are completely different and many of them are extremely finnicky and character specific.

And yeah. She was much better in CS2.

I’m sorry, but if all of the things you mentioned require “completely relearning the character”, then you’re playing the wrong game. Most characters received more radical changes than Tsubaki did in CP, and the nature of the character makes it easier to adjust. Old habits might show through for a week or so, but after that, it’s a personal problem.

But I already know, you’re a person who likes to exaggerate Tsubaki’s weaknesses and difficulty to make her sound like some god-tier baggage that you need to invest years of practice into to overcome any challenge.

btw, from your own answer to this very same question:

So even though we agree, you just like to argue, so you’ll stir up trouble for no goddamn reason, like always.

LOL Tsubaki is not bottom 5, HUey would not be playing a bottom tier chaarcter, she’s straight mid tier. Get that shit out of here.

Look; I’m not even TALKING about my personal experience here, since I don’t even HAVE this game. I’m going on the opinions of everyone else I’ve spoken to who plays Tsubaki; It took a lot of adjusting, and even watching high level japan play, there are a lot more dropped combos and missed opportunities with this character due to the degree of unnecessary complexity involved.

Is her basic game plan simple? Sure, that’s why they call it a “basic” game plan, and you can reduce literally every character in the game to something that sounds simple if you want to.

Sure. You can think that.

Whatever. I love everyone.

I want to wish you BlazBlue fans a Merry Christmas!

So Alter Memory has ended its 12-episode run.

I haven’t been watching since that hot springs episode; I should catch up with it tomorrow night.

I quit watching Alter Memory, because I heard too much criticisms and I don’t want to go back to that anime

yeah she was my main for 3 games, while i waited for kokonoe and this game was far from my main game… At first she feels weird, the changes they made, but after a hour in training you kinda start to understand how to break the old muscle memory combos of old noel… her and yuki i feel as a scrub player who does not have tons of time to invest in the game that they are both the easiest to pick up n learn in cp… im still just playing in the trails for kokonoe n the new chars

I haven’t watched the final episode yet, and probably wont until sometime later. It’s such a horrible series that the best thing that could happen to it is ending (or be cancelled).

Wait…you quit watching it…because other people didn’t like it? o.o

Yeah, that sounded weird to me. I heard people didn’t like it, and my response was “so what? I still like it”.

Not only that, but also because I don’t want to see the Continuum Shift episodes.

A collusion was committed in a BBCP tournament.

Not sure how I feel about the collusion. I think the Tournament Organizer did the right thing, but really…with the 2 finalists being brothers and knowing how collusion normally goes…why the fuck would you make it obvious? Wouldn’t it make more sense to just play them out with their mains normally, split the money, and just make no mention of it to anyone/deny any claims or accusations pertaining to it?

I believe there’s already some lengthy discussion in the Fighting Game Discussion forum about that:

anyone here want to play some guilty gear xx ac plus r
