Yeah, Terumi comes free to the first round of orders. Of course, you need a Japanese account in order to redeem the code (I believe?) so there is that.
This is true. I downloaded my copy and it came with Terumi for free.
In other news, I have found love all over again. I really haven’t had this much fun with a character in a fighting game since I discovered Cammy, but Bullet is just amazing. People call her air normals weird but they’re actually perfect for retaining pressure. Once you start getting momentum with her it’s almost impossible to stop it without burst. She’s really good at staying safe even after being blocked.
But I’ve also noticed (as expected) that even a minimal amount of zoning can give her hell. With Amane’s goddamn full screen normals, I don’t even stand a chance, nonetheless against characters like u13…
What? Those aren’t command grabs. They’re just followups. They’re basically part of whatever move you string them off of.
She has TWO real “command grabs” (Her dp.B is NOT a grab, you can block it and then punch her in the face since it’s like -29) and one of them is anti-air only. Oh, and I guess a 720 no one ever seems to use.
Whatever the technical term is if you want to split hairs. They’re grabs that can be blocked but require special commands other than the standard grab command, lol. I just call them that for ease of use.
For how much damage 623B does though, I feel like it shouldn’t have so many damn frames on whiff.
There’s nothing “technical” or “hair splitting” about it; If you can block it, it’s NOT A GRAB. Grabs, by definition, are something that cannot be blocked. What animation the character does on the screen is irrelevant. I don’t care if she collars you, bites your ear, or puts you in a half nelson, for game purposes, if you can block it, it’s not a grab. End of Argument.
What you have defined is referred to as a “special move” And you’re not making it easier for anyone, you’re just confusing people.
Also, Tsubaki is official “meh” tier in this game. She’s better than she was in Extend, but mostly only because she does more damage now. She still has all the same issues, and they actually made a bunch of her moves worse for no readily good explainable reason. Nerf to 5BB, nerf to 2C, nerf to 2CC, relative nerf to her jab (i.e. it used to be cool to have a 100 P1 jab, but now everyone does.)
Her projectiles make her life slightly easier in neutral, getting charge is just as annoying as ever, her DP is much better but her pressure is worse (though lower hitstop means it’s harder to see her crappy overhead coming, but that’s true for everyone.). Oh, and a bunch of her combos are now super annoyingly character specific.
This game is the second most popular game at my arcade now, only behind 3rd Strike. One of the best 3rd Strike players plays Litchi and Im begging him to teach me her since shes who Ive played at anime conventions and destroyed people by tripping them.
