Terumi mirror matches will be hell. A literal seesaw match. And Terumi vs. Hazama will be hilarious. The meter stealer vs. The meter builder.
Terumi stealing heat is going to suck so much, especially for characters like Valkenhayn and Bang who need heat for any defensive options.
inb4 his heat steal is negligible
Terumi confirmed for worst landlord ever.
hmm… I forgot about Arakune. He was captured by Relius, right? So, what is Arakune’s story in BBCP? Is he still captured or what?
This got me thinking. In Extend, the Calamity Trigger Reconstruction sort of stiffs certain characters–Arakune, Bang, Litchi, Tao, etc. among them. Since the console CP’s story mode will just be one long narrative rather than 12+ shorter ones, it might do the same. I can see certain tangent characters being somewhat ignored by CP’s story mode in favor of the characters more directly involved in the six heroes + Ragna (cuz his stupid ass always shows up for no good reason, fluff-wise). Arakune might just be at the top of this ‘ignore’ list.
Here’ the latest interview from Siliconera talking about BBCP with Mori.
Ragna has a really nice shirt.
That interview also confirms dlc colors and voices, though that was to be expected.
You guys want to hear BBCP’s console opening song? HERE IT IS!
This game’s online multiplayer allows up to 64 PLAYERS in online lobby rooms??? That’s amazing!!!
I would expect it to work rather differently from the current “lobbies” of course.
Holy shit, so does that mean sitting through 63 matches before you can play again in a lobby…? Lol.
Oh man, I certainly hope not. I dislike waiting through 4 or 5 matches to play again even.
…
Seriously, people.
I mean, other games (SC5 for example) already have this. It’s a “lobby” space where people can chat challenge each other to games.
So it’s like an MMO type of thing? At least judging by this picture: http://shoryuken.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/bbcp-online-4.jpg
Online system seems most comparable to SCV’s Global Colosseo / Injustice’s lobbies where you can fight people with a regular pace. Player matches work as the norm, allowing up to 8 people to fight in a linear fashion.
64-player mode seemingly goes as follows…
You enter the “world”, basically an arcade. You select an arcade machine to sit down at and practice/fight the CPU while you wait for somebody else to sit down and play you. Also cute chibi characters.
Online training mode is being talked about as well.
I think I remember them saying they wanted to make online feel more like “going to an arcade”. I guess this is a step in that direction.

Also cute chibi characters.

I guess hotlinking this doesn’t work. Copypaste. It’s the chibi stuff from magicalbeat.
Some of that Network stuff actually looks like it’d work out pretty well. And those Chibi things are freaking adorable.
