I’ve been taking a week and change off from BB because the Xbox has been commandeered for watching Tennis. Damnit, Microsoft and their non-gaming applications.
I expect I’ll actually be really good at the game for like, an hour, when I start playing again, because for whatever reason, I seem to be better after taking a break before it all falls apart again.
I’m actually really curious to see if they do any further tampering with CP between now and console release. By October, we’ll practically be due for a new ‘version’, and with the console release and multiple new characters coming…
They did a reballance before the console release of P4, right? I’m assuming CP will be the same. And then probably a DL update after X months to fix any balance hiccups with Terumi and Count Spatula.
Speaking of P4, I’ve all but forgotten how to play that game. I may actually like its gameplay more than BlazBlue’s (AAAAA combos aside), but BB’s story and characters make it my favorite game. Any of you guys (besides dude with the Chie avatar) get into P4? I’d be happy to run some sets online, lag permitting. I obviously main Labrys, the emotionally damaged robot girl. Try to spot the pattern. ;(
Yeah, I’m into P4A actually. I play it a good bit too, I’ve just been practicing BB more lately because I’m going to a tourney this weekend and P4A’s my secondary game next to BB.
I’m not talking about button LAYOUT. Persona buttons mean completely different things from BB buttons. It doesn’t help if I put “C” on the same button, because in Persona it does something completely different.
I use the default in P4 and type B in BlazBlue. I took some getting used to, but I now adjust without too much trouble. I can jump back and forth between the games fairly easily, though that might owe in part to the completely different playstyles of my main in either game (Lambda and Labrys).
One of my friends maps his P4 buttons to BB’s type B, which just creates headaches. I like the P4 default layout; it situates the buttons according to the (for lack of a better word) character of the attack that each one produces. That helps me as a player. Not sure how you manage, Celerity.
Also, why is BB’s type A so obviously inferior to type B? The names shoulda been switched.
Is it possible that a 360 NA release might still be announced? That’s some crazy shit. Guess I’m glad I have a PS3. Still pissed that we have to wait till next year though.
Who’s the unnamed character? Jubei? Kokonoe? Seems like it’s gotta be one of those two, since the other new characters were obviously planned for but the two cat people would (likely) be a response to fan demand, so they might need more time to develop them fully. (Obviously weak logic, but whatever.)
Or we might get yet another random boobie lady/character that hasn’t even been mentioned until now.
My guess on the unnamed one might be Saya, actually. Though I’m really hoping Kokonoe and that they work Phantom in there too since this is supposed to be the end of the 6 Heroes arc, and that would have to inevitably have a Kokonoe vs Phantom bit in it. Also, I’d assume the mystery 7th would be DLC alongside Terumi since Kagura’s been confirmed to not be DLC.
Is it POSSIBLE? Yes. So far, no one has actually come out and said “No, there’s no 360 version” or “This game is a PS3 exclusive” - but the complete absence of any word now that it’s been officially announced stateside makes it extremely unlikely.
I’m annoyed. Not like “OMG, NOooooo!!!” but annoyed. I have a PS3. But this is kindof a dick move by Arc Sys.
I honestly don’t even care about CP anymore. The chances of me ever playing this game are just getting smaller and smaller. I’m on 360 AND in Europe, which is pretty much the worst combination when it comes to ArcSys games. If the 360 version will still arrive over here, it will probably be in Fall 2014 if we’re lucky. And by then my XBL gold will have expired and I’ll probably be on PS4. Playing offline is not an option either since there is no community for this game in my country.
And yes, ArcSys are a bunch of dicks. Look at how they handled Guilty Gear on EU XBLA and PSN. EU PSN still doesn’t have the game and XBLA had a 2 month delay. How can you fuck up a worldwide release on a DOWNLOADABLE game? Seriously…how?
So if you’re feeling bad about having to wait for the game, just think about the EU and realize it could be far worse.
