Just saw Azrael get 5K Meterless from 5B with both Weakpoints applied. The combo looked basic as hell as was nowhere near optimal.
Expect like 8K Optimal 50/75 Heat punishes, seriously.

Azrael is a High Damage No Nonsense tank.
He doesn’t have magic ice swords or chains to Zip around on. He cant float or fly or counter or control the fucking wind. He just beats the shit out of you. Damage is his game, and I’m loving him for it.
Confirmed that with 50 Heat pretty much everything from a strong starter will break 5K anywhere on the screen.
Lol, pretty much. Azrael’s mindgaming just is him walking towards you because you’d likely be like “oh shit, oh shit, don’t touch me!!”.
He is the “Punish” character of this game. If you get a weakpoint slapped on you. He is seriously putting you on notice.
1 Weakpoint = 4K + Damage, Reluanches, Shotgun Kicks, Full Corner Carry from anything.
2 Weakpoints = Unblockables, Game Breaking Damage, Giant Combos, GG’s.
How do his weakpoints work exactly? I don’t follow the game closely enough as I should 
Basically. He has upper Weakpoints and lower Weakpoints. All of which are applied by the D button.
If you use the Drive button whilst a weakpoint is applied, the move will gain new properties, such as Groundbounce, wall bounce etc, Basically it allows you to extend the combo.
Weakpoints also affect his main distortion, Black Hawk Stinger. If and Upper weakpoint is applied you cannot block it high, and if it’s low you cannot block it low. With Both…5BB > BHS = Unblockable.
I’m just wondering if Azrael can get both weakpoints on you in one combo somehow. Haven’t watched much footage with him in it though.

Dunno; A lot of his combos have that annoying “that looks like it shouldn’t work” aspect that kinds bugs me. Obviously there’s going to be SOME of that, but pretty much everytime he was doing real damage…

Azrael is just damage. He deserves strong routes. Especially considering his weaknesses.
- Uses “Links” not Chains. Same as Hakumen
- Cannot get ANY “Real” Oki
- Dash Movement
- Long range pokes are slow
- Situational AA’s
- Slow (But safe) Overheads
- Hornet Bunker is near enough invalid compared to Valiant Charger.
But he makes up for that by taking your Anus on a 99 second tour of duty if you fuck up. All is fair imo. No command grabs or mad DP’s or anything. Just Damage.

how is izayoi looking? i haven’t played BB since cs2 and ragna lost a ton of shit between then and now, so i’m looking to play tsubaki or izayoi.
Platinum looks strong. She gained new midscreen options and even a counter. Her corner damage is still good, but mainly I’d say her strongest new feature is her new midscreen routes. She seems strong this time round, a very solid choice.
Izayoi looks good, too. Her pokes have bad range but her mixups and damage seem strong. Her Gain Art (I-NO style dash) Makes her that bit more scary. I’ve not seen too much Izayoi, but she looks far from bad.
